Thank you I had taken that part off so I could get a piece of thread off that was wrapped around the lever. In the meantime, the little light fell off as soon as I took the lid off, so I wasn’t really sure where it went back on until I watched your video and then I seen it just slid right in that little slot. Duh so --so glad you had a video to show me where I can put that little light back.

Can you show us the other end. My machine asks like the belt is off. Finally got the foot pedal working and now the motor works but no action...

I got a baby lock jazz II last Tuesday when I dropped the feed dogs to free motion it makes a loud clanking sound and the fabric does slide easily. Do you know if anyone else has had this problem

There is usually a click when it goes down initially but if it continues to clank while sewing and the sound is coming from the feed dogs you may need to take it in for warranty repair. Are they coming back up normally when you re engage them?

I wondered why they didn't make it like my older machines that easily open. I love my machine but am not happy with the stitches all the time, especially the underside (not sure what it is called). So the stitching is okay as I am sewing, I test periodically with two different color threads but it still looks like an entirely different type of stitch, bunches up. This is not nice for quilting.

Sounds like a tension issue so read the manual on page I think 14-15 I think. It can bunch up because the top thread is not sliding through easily.

@@PJCuddle-r8rThanks it was the tension, a known issue but the machine was new to me a year ago We are happy with each other now
