Just discovered your channel via instagram. Loving the vibe especially since I love this whole fremont-ballard-green lake neighborhood. Looking forward to join the upcoming community walk.
I've been loving your content because I used live in Seattle and loved walking around the city so much - especially Green Lake. But omg the street you're on in Fremont is my old street - such a coincidence! So nostalgic for me and nice to see a glimpse of it - so thank you :)
Braiding Sweetgrass is such a good book! I read it earlier this year and really enjoyed it. Recently I finished Gathering Moss by the same author and, although a bit more science/botanically-focused, it was a really enjoyable read as well.
Genuine question! I just moved to West Seattle in March and I have been really struggling to feel safe walking by myself. I have been inspired by your walking reels so I have been walking a ton but I have a really hard time not being super paranoid the entire time. Any tips? Love the content❤️
@@KatieLambie hi there! honestly, there are times when i feel quite anxious when out walking by myself, but i always try to have at least 2 methods of safety on me whether it’s pepper spray or a taser. i’ve also heard birdie alarms are great, but i don’t have one myself yet, so i can’t honestly review it (it’s on my list though!). i’d recommend always sharing your location with at least one person you trust and letting them know where you’re going and when you think you’ll be back just to take extra precaution. i also will stick to neighborhoods i’m familiar with and if the vibes are off, then i take that signal and re-plan accordingly!
