Hi, love your videos, so helpful !.. I’m having an issue right now with my 2011 sonata hoping you could help me. My passenger tail light is out when turn my lights on, driver side is illuminated but the passenger side is not, when I press on the brake it does turn on. So at night when driving my passenger side tail light is completely out until I hit the brake. Would you be able to help me on this matter ? Thank you

+Richard Lloyd I bought everything in the description and I am having a little trouble with the big lights, the 1157. They snap in easily and twist them and they work while the harness is outside the tail light, but when I go to install it starts flickering and they go out. I can't get them to stay in. If I apply a little pressure to the light it turns right back on, so I just think my harness, might not hold well. Not sure if you had the same problem or if it's just me.
+Max Ficarro Sounds like you're contacts are not connecting correctly in the socket. Take a look at the contacts on the bulbs they should be protruding somewhat. They are made out lead solder. Thanks.
hey Richard, did you notice that after putting the led lights in the brake lights don't flash as bright when putting the brakes on? it seems like the clear 2357's are a lot brighter. like the leds but taking away from brightness when breaking. Is this something you noticed? I also put the leds in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata
Mine were just as bright if not brighter. I am not sure why that is the case with your car. Perhaps you had a different set of original lights than I did. Thanks. All the best.
Im in need of replacing the brake bulbs on my 2013 sonata. Fuses all check out fine. If I decide to go with LEDs, do I need a resistor?
I do not believe that the brake lights need a resistor. Only the turn signal lights require a resistor. Thanks.

There still two bulbs that is not covered in this video. There another set of 2 lights underneath the brake light in the corner at 3:40. I am looking for a video to show me how to replace those.

+Jesse Feeback I no longer own this car but I believe it is just a matter of disconnecting the harness from the main run. You could also buy a replacement harness and splice it in. Excellent video, I will be replacing my tail light soon and want know which socket to get and you did explained. The only thing that was missing is that the break lights rust and stuck in the socket that can be very hard to remove when the bulb needs to be replaced. It can also damage the socket which will require you to buy a new tail light. To prevent that you need to grease the metal on the bulb before putting it in the socket and this will prevent rust.
Your method did not work for me. The wires were not long enough to change the tail lights on the Driver side. It figures, that is what I get for buying Korean. Never again.
