I was really hoping this was going to be a tribute to the Regular Guy car review, but with bikes =P Due to my initials I've always had a softspot for SE. The PK ripper was my jam back in the day.
I was thinking about getting a bmx, and I found this one in a store near me so I decided to buy it. I have had it for 1 day and I can already do small buny hops (only about 3 inches). It is so far seeming to be a good bike, I am going to take it to my local skatepark tonight to play around with it in the bowl. Also it looks WAY better in blue (in my opinion). Also thanks for the great review, and for your other bmx videos!
Thanks to you Seth I bought a premium solo plus bmx just for when the trails are too muddy, love it already and can't even 180! cheers for inspiring me to bmx man
So awesome to hear! Cross training on different bikes makes you better at everything, and it gives you way more options for riding spots. It looks like you're discovering that now too.
The "upgrade it when you break it" method is a good way to go on mtb as well. You can buy a lower spec'd bike, and you'll know what things need to be upgraded as you break them or wear them out. If they just continue to work, then you don't need the "better" part. I enjoy the videos Seth, great content, well put together, likeable host.
I mean its pretty good with old useless bikes too. I have an old Land Rover KArnac and I binne dteh forks and bars and pedals which were all knackered and slapped on Federal red pedals, BIG cruiser bars from Surly and some cheap Hi ten curved MTB forks 90's style. Its turned a nice solid bike. With Hala SAS QR wheels haha, whcih are likely overkill but I'm a big guy so wanted something that would last forever. Its not for tricks, its actually gonna be my single speed bike packing bicycle. Its a relaly comfy ride and thats teh main thing.

I have my own custom Subrosa Noster III but since I'm a subscriber I decided to check the video out for the hell of it. Very nice video. Lots of details and you said what you thought! 🙂
Ive got the exacts same bike, same year too, its just the blue version. Im brakeless so i tore through the rear tire and replaced both with Sunday street sweepers and the bb kept becoming loose and a few of the ball bearing fell into the frame so ive since replaced the bb with a sealed one. Hey Seth, I have been riding and building custom bmx bikes since 7. I was in Ashland and rented a Kona Precept, I loved the feel of a soft tail on smooth technical trails. I went home and looked at the prices on good softails, and they were insane. I already have a hardtail dirt jump bike and about 5 fully custom bmx bikes. How do I get in to legitimate downhill mountain biking without breaking the bank?
I got. A fit pro series after my bike was stolen honestly have no clue what it was either bought it used stickers all peeled off but long story short my buddys se everyday made me fall back in love with riding i wanna put all my parts from my fit
I got a $190 bike from England while I was there and I've had it for 2 years and have only had to replace the tubes about 2 times and the grips literally once
This is a little random but on topic regarding skateparks. I don’t know why kids are so mean to eachother hating on eachother because they ride scooters or are a skater or rollerblader, it’s all supposed to be fun and it’s not a competition when you are casually riding at a skatepark. I think it is all great stuff and if you bash on someone because they ride a different thing than you, you’re just a bully. It’s stupid drama and the hating doesn’t deserve recognition. Live and let live.
Isn't upgrading parts little by little a thing that happens in biking as a whole? I have a bike I got in 2K5 and literally the only thing in it that was stock as of today was the frame, and that one is also gone as of today (went off to warranty due to a broken weld, mostly since it's so old). Still, damn good to know this BMX caters to that exact mindset :D More manufacturers should keep in mind that pushbikes are totally modular.
Can you make a video about how to replace a us bottom bracket. That would be cool because i want to upgrade mine with sealed us bbs and i only find tutorials on mid bb. P.s. You make awesome videos! Keep up the great work
So I just recently built a new haro and went from 1 piece cranks to 3 piece and you can definitely feel a difference from unsealed to sealed bearings I'd suggest anyone who has 19mm 3 piece cranks to get a mid bb to American bb conversion kit with a new 8 spline spinal

I have a question. I'm planning to learn trick on a bmx, my budget is only 268 buck. My place doesn't offer a lot of bmx brands but I know some local bikeshop that sells haro boulevard for 268 bucks and I found a used hi-tensile bmx with semi-upgraded parts for 200 bucks.
