Has anyone reported on the electrification of construction grade vehicles (earth movers, backhoes, dump trucks, etc) and other forms of transport (eg busses)?
Norway is offering tons of incentives to push EVs. And they are paying the incentives by selling oil. hmm...anything wrong?
Norway has 5 million people. Smaller than Los Angeles.
True but as a poll of how many people in a very cold country will actually buy EVs its a data point it could have stalled at say 50% it didn't

@@ingmarkronfeldt6174 I'm just saying that Norway is a small, homogeneous, country where to get to all EV is great, but is not all that difficult when you only have a few million passenger vehicles.
@@ChuckHolland-i4b agreed BUT its a data point and saying "its not all that difficult" misses the fact that people CHOSE we didn't know if that would stick at say 50% now we know it didn`t and that's a lot of cars way beyond any survey of peoples opinions.
And yet Norway from one end to another is longer than TX so not quite like LA @@ChuckHolland-i4b

Elon became even more vocal and controversial after his pay package was approved the second time. Money talks. The question is " Will the stockholders be so quick to reward him the next time?" If the stock goes up enough, they just might. Anything under $300 would not win him a large reward.

Give the real facts. Norway is basically paying people to buy EV’s which is creating a tax revenue deficit. Also, two thirds of citizens will not give up the ICE vehicle they own….which they use in the winter and the number of ICE vehicles has actually gone up in 2024. If EV’s are so great people should not have to be paid to buy them.

I didn’t get paid to buy mine and I have 150,000 smiles and counting with ZERO maintenance! Hands down best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Safest, fastest, most accurate, most efficient, most fun, least cost to operate and the absolute best UX.
Also performed brilliant in -19 degrees in Kansas last winter. I was once again surprised by the efficiency and performance in several days of negative temps with blizzard conditions at times. My second EV and my next will also be. I like maintaining my wealth.
@@woodphoto21 Shows how easy it is for you to be a parasite…..do you pay taxes to use the road? No. You didn’t know that the average EV buyer gets $50k government subsidies from manufacturing to tax incentives. You should do your research before posting.
Early adoption should be rewarded maybe 2 percent on every tesla you have had in the past
Look at Poland, they have all the EV benefits like Norway except the tax-free part. But they have free parking, bus lane keep, and some tax benefits. But Poland is the last country in the EV transition in EU.

They walk and bicycle way more than most nations. Those people are fit.
Norway's 94% was BEV share. Yes, Norway made incentives and disincentives to go electric... but their proof-of-concept is still a global fact. China is following and putting the hurt to legacy auto. And there are zero applications/models that cannot be electric -- just a matter of time until all variants are available.
The citizens of Norway are buying EV’s but keeping their ICE vehicles, obviously for winter use. ICE vehicles have increased in number in 2024……the government is paying people to buy EV’s
Elons next milestone is 1000 ppm CO2 in earths atmosphere in the future - that was his sneak peek for plan 3.

Norway is keeping their ICE vehicles, obviously for winter. They are just adding an electric but ICE vehicle numbers are up in 2024. Ouch. This is people getting paid to drive EV’s. Free market would destroy the EV market

@@monkeysezbegood No….it means they are keeping their ICE and adding an EV due to how much they get in government subsidies. There are actually more ICE vehicles own now than last year. Read and educate yourself before posting.
