About:
The original series revolves around the lives of privileged upper-class adolescents living in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The series begins with the return of Upper East Side teenage "it girl" Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) from a mysterious absence. She is reunited with her frenemy Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and her mother Lily (Kelly Rutherford), and she also meets Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley)-an aspiring writer from Brooklyn who is one of Serena's main love interests throughout the show. Other main characters include Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr), Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle) and Ivy Dickens (Kaylee DeFer).

As non-native English speaker I should say: I never ever understood what Serena said, she sounds like she has a mouth full of water and trying to not drop it

@@vondyshaI think they meant in the series over all. They’ve tended to focus on Thanksgiving more and less on Christmas
I remember one of the people on the GG team saying in an interview that during the time GG aired, most shows focused on Christmas and the team wanted to step away from the norm and make something else theirs. When you think GG you can’t help but think of the classic thanksgiving episodes

Can't remember what Dan did that he got punched
He posted the bad version of his book’s Serena-chapter that publically humiliated her (the one where he bragged how easy she is to manipulate and that he only got back with her to write about her and all that stuff). Everyone was already mad about their own chapters, but then he dropped Serena‘s in the middle of the first Thanksgiving dinner hosted by them as a couple. Gotta say that was one deserved punch

Why is Kelly Rutherford being praised by showing her on this show? She’s a horrible person and doesn’t deserve the attention.

@@melarie205 she bailed on her husband after he had a heart attack. He came home to find his house cleaned out and she divorced him and refused to talk to him.
She also tried to take her and her most recent ex husband’s kids and move overseas so he couldn’t see them. Keep in mind, he did nothing wrong. She just feels it’s her right to screw people over and that she’s better than everyone else. Fortunately, the judge told her that was illegal and she threw a temper tantrum and she was told if she didn’t cut the garbage, she was going to be punished.
