The first episode is a lot closer to Sr. Pelo’s usual style of sporadic humor (particularly the Mokey Show); though the series starts to ground itself more later on. He also voiced literally all of the characters before getting actual VAs to help him by Episode 2. You might even recognize a few of them from other projects:
- Elsie Lovelock (Lila/Skid’s Mom)- Uzi from Murder Drones
- Kellen Goff (Roy and Fat Thief)- Several characters from the FNAF franchise (Funtime, Molten, and Glamrock variants of Freddy; and the Sun/Moon/Eclipse Daycare Attendant)
- Coffinjockey from SchmuckSquad (Sheriff John, the Candy Dealer, and Thin Thief)- Dwarf Shaman from Goblin Slayer Abridged
- And several more going into Episodes 4 and 5.
Elsie is also Pomni from digital circus and Evelyn from metarunner s2-3
@@ashflre No, Pomni is voiced by Lizzie Freeman (who also plays Lila’s friend Jaune in this series). Though Elsie was in TADC’s pilot as the Gloink Queen. 😅

19:56 Yeah, Sr Pelo is a pretty big fan of Touhou so Spooky Month has tons of references to it, he's also made an entire animation based off of Touhou 6 (which i would recommend checking out, it's pretty funny even if you don't know a lot about the franchise but it also includes tons of the in-jokes that the fanbase has built up over the years) and is currently working on one based off of Touhou 7.

Edit: by the way, there's always an extra something at the very end of each Spooky Month video. On top of that, there's a completely different post-credits ending if you watch them on Newgrounds, and they typically tie into a broader story involving a cult within the town the two kids, Skid and Pump, live in.

There might be a new Spooky Month episode coming soon... But until then, it's kind of surreal how the series morphed from typical Sr. Pelo wackiness to being a more serious series with legit lore (while still having some funny moments). It makes me wonder what made Pelo decide to go down this route with Spooky Month...
