Skater here!! Do you think they would be better with straps to attach them to your feet? That way you may avoid some obstacles, or do a couple of tricks. Just a thought! Thanks for the review.
No way. The battery probably will not long. 15-20 minutes? Even if the battery could provide 1 hour (which unlikely), for me its not enough.
@@oleksiychekin1257 Officially it lasts 45 minutes. I didn't time it for a proper battery test but I'd say that sounds about right.
I liked that it felt like an actual review from someone who doesn't need to sell anything

But Marta is a very common female name in Italy, Plus her accent was like you said most definitely from a Latin based language speaker so More than likely she's either Spanish or Italian. In my opinion her accent sounds Italian.

Takes a bit of time to get used to. But once you do, it is very fun to ride. I have used a hoverboard for years, there is a learning curve when it comes to using two separate skate. They are bit on the heavy side, the straps make it really easy to carry.

Bad idea having two seperate motors working independantly. As the batteries wear 1 will become faster than the other

Nice. These may be good when the Subway (metro, train station) is 12-15 minutes walking distance, I am seriously considering it for that. It will take practice to get used to them.
What about the wheels? How do they wear off with time? Can they be easily replaced?

Those look cool but the 220 lb weight limit and the 45 min charge are limiting. And what about rain or puddles? There should also be some sort of carrying bag that comes with it although I guess anything large enough with a shoulder strap or even a backpack would do

@@Josieman543 This is a valid point. I'm not a mechanical engineer, but the if gyroscope does it's job then it should be impossible for the user to fall while the skates are moving (Given the user has at least moderate practice). Although, it seems as if these wheels don't allow the user to tilt which is a massive hindrance. If someone could match the design of an electric unicycle, but compacted into skates, that would be something i would buy.

Nicely made ad.. it’s actually enjoyable. Neat product too! I’ve always enjoyed blades. Wanted to try heely’s but never did. I’d try these too but may never too. Or perhaps, grandpa Allen will be rockin’ and rollin’!
Segway did a good job trying to bring out a product thats never been done before. I personaly think there is room for improvements. The drift 1 should be able to disengage automaticaly once nobody is standing on it (optionaly if no one agrees). This will eneble the practicality to easly pic them up and stop running into things at a stop and on slopy ground.
Secondly removable battries this will enble us to travel easly by air.
It should come with a conecting rods so one can ride like hoverboards.

I owned and sold them. The surface has to be almost perfectly smooth so they're impractical. Also, I lost control and one went at high speed toward a parked car. The other toward a man. I ran to catch them. I would suggest learning to ride an electric unicycle and considering the Gotway mten3, as it too is electric and small but practical and safer.
These things are one foot at a time death traps lol Poor Marta hit the ground hard! Nope not for me! That said I like the new reviewer she comes across as genuine I hope her next assignment finds her inside a nice safe studio :)
Why doesnt somebody make these with 2 wheels per foot, attached to your feet like normal skates, and non self balancing? It sounds easier AND more practical
