The technique is EXACTLY the correct way of completing a BraidLess Sew-In Install! Micro refers to the bead/link size. The part size is correct, and will ensure even hair growth underneath, without compromising, damaging, or placing too much tension on each link or weft. 👌🏽 Great job!
MicroLink Sew-in or Strand extensions takes time & skill, which equates to higher cost. Best alternative method to get scalp clean. Braid Sew-ins doesn't allow the scalp to breath, resulting in dry scalp and fungus growth if not removed after 3-4 weeks. Another reason why black women are losing hair....🤷🏽♀️
noranda anderson, actually when you braid the hair, it’s protected. This other weaving, your hair is not. However, the outcome is still beautiful. She did a job installing the hair and I can tell she loves what she does.
Baby I had to mute it 🙄 but great tutorial I learned a lot from it people are charging 250 and up for this style now I can do it myself thank you for sharing
How does long does a style like this last and can I do shampooing and conditioning my hair and scalp to wash it once to twice a week? Will washing cause the hair to matte up with the micro links? Great video, new subscriber❤️!!!!!!!!!!
I think this is a great style to give your hair a break from constantly being braided up. And you could probably go and get it treated every two weeks so that you don’t have to straighten it yourself. It’s like having your hair out without extensions and getting a blow out or silk press.
Hello! Love how detailed your videos are! I have a question if you don't mind answering? Are you sewing through the links alone or are you also sewing through the hair?
I think this would be better for thick hair people. Having fine thin hair myself having to much weight/tension on fine hair I know how easy it is to damage/break off the hairs. You did a great job and it looked great tho. So no hate to you b/c clearly you know what you're doing and do it well. However if she's happy that's all that matters
So with method won't she have to straighten her hair constantly to blend with the extensions since so much of her hair is out? I feel like it looks amazing in the salon but won't look as good once she has to maintain it on her own
I had this method done by my mom for the first time and I didn't straighten my hair every day. Maybe every 3-4 depending what I was doing that week to style it. My hair grew just fine.
twinfree78 I feel like the pros of this method is versatility .and maybe it's easier to wash you can get all into it rather if it was a natural sew in you can't get the part that's braided .and far as the tension on the hair the braids are more tension but the braids help your hair to grow faster .it don't seem like your natural hair will grow well with this method cause it's not protected and its getting heat damage 🙃I'm no expert but that's what I think
Definitely versatility you can wash your hair and your hair is always growing as a stylist in the making braids making your hair grow is a myth your hair is always growing unless you have alopecia or a health related issue taking medication or went through childbirth something stressful related or pregnancy etc your hair will always grow lol 😄 with this method to each their own it's high maintenance but worth it my professor's told me once you start you can't stop it's like getting eyelashes extensions or something like that really addictive once you take it out you have to put it back in lol to the heat damage thing treat your extensions like you would your own hair your stylist will provide you information on how to maintain it at home which products to use to make it last longer and to not constantly flat iron it all the time if you want waves/curls get the wavy texture but if you like it straight all the time get straight bundles

Hi EuqinaD ! What are the benefits of having a microlink sew-in/ Or is this just another way of doing a sew in? Is it less or more time consuming ? please respond. I love your artistry and videos OMG! Love Love Love!
I absolutely love weaves but I don't see anything special abt this technique. It's just another way to charge more. It's how white folks get extensions, most of them have fine hair so braids won't hold. As for me and my black self I'll continue to get them cornrolls.
They are called cornrows. You know, like rows of corn in a field? I swear people out here just mindlessly repeating shit they THINK they hear, without ever questioning it. You're allowed to question language, especially to learn where it comes from.
Don’t be such a hater. It’s for a flatter & more versatile looks. Corn rolls Inhibit you from doing a lot of looks & regardless of what u say feels bulky & doesn’t look anywhere near as natural as this.
Showing the technique is great, however I want to see the finished, hence the front. I have no understanding therefore I am unable to make a definitive decision if I want this type of weave
I honestly like this method more less tension and pulling people with alopecia can get this done if they wanted to if you have a stylist that know's what they are doing it won't be an uncomfortable experience and most stylist they give you the instructions/advice on how to care for your hair...it will be healthy but that's honestly up to the client if they decide to follow up on what the stylist informs them on how to maintain it at home what products they should use so the extensions can last longer and won't slip out to not flat iron it to much treat it as you would your own hair wash it like you would your own hair it's high maintenance but worth it if you aren't the type that wants a high maintenance style then this isn't something for you if you want something plain simple and easy to maintain if you don't have the time go for something else that works for you to each their own
Thanks however I’m fully aware of what it means. I think we all know by now that everything in this field is customizable to the best interest of the client. So if someone has fragile hair, doing extremely tiny sections won’t support the extensions without comprising her hair, especially for how long she intended on keeping it in.
You can't please everyone as a stylist you have to study the hair talk with your client feel the hair and see what you can do to manipulate and achieve what the client want in their hair journey everyone has a different style and unique way of applying extensions or doing hair there is no right or wrong way as long as it's installed properly not causing the client pain or to run away to another stylist or causing breakage or damage what's damaging is clients not listening to their stylist on how to maintain their own hair at home and trying to recreate what they had done at the salon at home damaging their own hair by using box dye or lighting hair by themselves and getting a brassy orange tone that they didn't want or maybe even green think of your hairstylist as your doctor when you go to the dr and they give you medication you go home and you follow the instructions right you don't just say oh hey I'll take them when I feel like it or take a whole bunch to make up for some days I miss 🤷♀️☹
What in the unfinished tutorial... First of all that install was weak. .. parts were to big. .MUSIC WAS TO LOUD. this was a old video so hopefully she's gotten better...no shade
Don’t insult someone and then end with “no shade”, that’s being corny and a coward 🙄 the microlink technique is clearly being used for braidless sew-in as the title stated so no need for the unnecessary complaints smh

Oh no I don’t like this cause it’s pulling the hair. Since there is no braid, the sew in is being held by the hair in those ponytails. If them things pop or someone pulls your hair the weave coming out.

It’s a Braidless Sewin method. 😊😘
Hello! Love how detailed your videos are! I have a question if you don't mind answering? Are you sewing through the links alone or are you also sewing through the hair?
Great question. Mostly through the links, some through hair. Thank you so much 😘

how do you maintain your own hair with this to stop your hair from drying out and the weave getting greasy at the same time?
Thank you so much for this detailed video. Awesome job!

Savannah McClease-Borden right exactly it's gonna have a lot of heat damage and breakage your hair is gonna grow much much slower .
I had this method done by my mom for the first time and I didn't straighten my hair every day. Maybe every 3-4 depending what I was doing that week to style it. My hair grew just fine.
Nah her hair is relaxed so she doesn’t have to straighten like crazy.
How do you tighten the microlinks when there is new growth? Do you have to removed the entire track and reapply?
K Taylor yes. I’m assuming every 6-8 weeks depending on growth. You don’t want them swaying to much and be too outgrown.
K Taylor great question. ❤️ Yes, every 6 to 8 weeks. Some ppl can go a little longer based on how they maintained it and how fast their hair grows.
What type of camera are you using I need these angles this is life

Your work is gorgeous btw...
Thank you so much! 😘
When comparing this to a sew in... what are the pros? For instance what is the level of tension on the natural hair, ability to wash etc?

I watched stylist put the long extension in the microlink and attach it individually to the hair. Which is better!
I think it’s based on the hair. For her, the weft hair gave her more hair w/out having to put in a full head of individuals. 😉
Might as well have gotten a braided sew in to protect your hair. This method doesn't make sense and cannot be better for the health of your hair.
tj Tanner thanks for your feedback.
Actually it is as there is less tension on the scalp. Also easier access to moisturise the the scalp. If you get a yak I texture no need to flat iron.

What is th song on this video?
uuùuuuuuh so howwww do u shower ur scalp with all this?? 😞😞😞😞
Why are the parts so damn big.. micro means tiny 😩🤦🏾♀️
It’s because the stylist is solely using the microlink technique for a brainless sew-in.
Thanks however I’m fully aware of what it means. I think we all know by now that everything in this field is customizable to the best interest of the client. So if someone has fragile hair, doing extremely tiny sections won’t support the extensions without comprising her hair, especially for how long she intended on keeping it in.
