I came down here to comment on exactly that. Bitterness like patience needs to be addressed everyday. Someone with PTSD or the .like has a long road to recovery and the idea that you decide once to forgive and it's over May be true for some people. But, for me it's a conscious decision everyday. The enemy will throw memories in your face at every opportunity to remind you. I choose to forgive (fuzzy warm feelings not required) and pray for these people. Repeat as needed. It will get easier. As for forgiving yourself, try to understand how much God loves you. He meant what he said. Do you believe him? Ask him to show you. Praying for you.
The memories might not be coming from within, but from without. How does Satan tempt us? He might not be personally present, but all it takes is a minion to remind you "they did this, they said that," over and over and you can't get it out of your head. Because it's not YOUR thoughts. They also bring up past sins, rubbing your nose in it, you ain't worthy. Try asking Jesus to deliver you from whatever is talking to you, and don't be shocked if you suddenly have peace and quiet. Be warned, they come back. Rinse and repeat. It will lessen in intensity as time goes on. And remember that person they're talking about? He's dead, you're someone else. You didn't do it. You are a NEW creation. The new creation isn't responsible to God for what the old one did. You might be tempted to engage in those behaviors now, but you have no debt to God for those past sins. You may have consequences in the flesh for past behaviors, but they'll be left behind and won't follow you into the after life.

No memory at all. I had harbored a hope that he would someday say he was sorry. Now it can never happen. Your advice is good. I have never said anything to him about it. I have always treated him as a daughter should, but the memories are still as recent as the days they happened.
I was a thief at a time, it was shameful but I’ve been delivered from theft after repenting and turning from it! Jesus is my salvation and I worship him alone!
I might add that often the feeling of anger is caused by us feeling ourselves somehow threatened. Someone says something that makes me fear - for example, I fear that I myself am wrong, or that I will be rejected by the others - and so I automatically react with anger to protect myself from that fearful thing. So when we get angered, it might be fruitful to search our souls and wonder, why it happened. You might find some wounds that need Jesus' love.

I sure do miss Chuck. Have spend a few thousand hours listening to his teaching since September 2015, Praise God! By God's grace, He brought me across Chucks Isaiah Expositional commentary and I fell in love with Scripture. The Bible is what brought me out and keeps me out of alcoholism, an 11 year cocaine addiction, pornography, bitterness and rage, etc. Praise God for making me a student of His Word! I need to hear the part about anger. I get really upset when people at work try to make me do their work since they don't want to. I struggle with getting upset about it.

The first time I heard Chuck Missler I was hooked. I'm used to him. I'm still very thankful. He left us with a bunch of comforting verses for the future. Strengthening versus. Reassurance versus. It's almost like his one video explaining how our body is not Who We Are but the inside is us. Not the shell we live in. So with that thought I realized he's not just resting in peace. To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord. He's with me every time I hit one of his videos. I never had much of a father or much of a mother. They attacked each other every minute of every day for years. I thought it was normal. Until I saw Chuck Missler and his wife and all the laughter and smiles they had for each other. And they treated their kids good. I want to tell the family members and I'm sure everybody would want to as well. Tell them that we are very thankful for the Missler family. I would like to have maybe a little prayer partner. You know like everyone picks a number out of the jar and then the name the coming back that's your secret prayer partner and whoever it is you have to pray for them for the year and if you want to and if you can't afford it send them little birthday gifts and Christmas cards you know things that show you love them. Love is an action word. Anything I learned about love I learned right here. And when I think of Jack and his wife I think of them laughing with smiles. If I think of someone and I'm in tears it's better for me not to think of them at all. He was confident and he's checking it out before we are. Remember what he taught us this is a hologram life it's got an ending there's boundaries to infinite in the world but not with God. Got him outside our time dimension. And our prayers can get 2 Gods ears through Jesus Christ. Anybody that wants to do it even if we pick someone's comment that we like and then write down that little name of who they are and have someone to look forward to everyday. You know we could read the same videos. We don't need our bodies. It's the spirit that's why Chuck Missler is not missed by me it's just a temporary waveny ocean before we will to be there. And I know Chuck he prayed over every one of these videos and all of his books. I love his honesty. He preaches the truth with love he doesn't beat people up and he gets to talk about hell and fired it Nation with such a nice Deliverance everybody wants to receive it in a way where they say what do I got to do not to go to that bad place. I tell them ask the Lord Jesus Christ and all the you know Romans and all that I explained it it's a free gift. not works lest any man should boast. If I give you a present cuz I like you and you're my friend all you have to do is take the present open it and you received it. So I don't expect you to wash my dishes or mop my floor for that gift because it was a gift a present it's a different thing. I tell people you have nothing to lose if I'm wrong about all the Bible and in God the Father God the son God the Holy Spirit then all of its wrong and I'll just go to the ground and disintegrate into the ground. So if I believe those things and then they were not true which there Jack has many many videos proving anything you want. But what is the unbeliever guys with the police he thinks is going to get him in the presence of the Lord when he dies?? Well you know what will happen he'll be judged out of the great white Throne judgment the books will be opened the 66 books the dead were judged out of that and whosoever was not found written in it faces the same Destiny as the rich man who saw the bagger in the arms of God Father Abraham. well if you are working your way there or did your rosary and Hail Marys and all the things that you were taught probably by very nice family members. But you will do all those things and then God is going to show you that's not the way. you see I've got nothing to lose by believing what I believe I can only be right and if I'm not it's not a big deal I just go in the ground. I have a Heavenly Father and he supplied all my need my own mother wouldn't let me. She's got a her heart and all her things and I will be left out of everything and I feel bad for her because that's all she will have is the memory of those things on earth. I took care the of the perishing and cared for the dying. I don't have family kids are grown up and gone I'm stuck in the flesh part of me that wants the child Hood with the family. I try to love my mother every day and she's worse than Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest she was nice to her daughter. I love my mother anyway and I will take good care of her even know I have to leave because she doesn't like me she resented me from the day I was born never wanted me. I can see why those who say Chuck is a false teacher say that. If you listen to those who accuse him pf being a false teacher they seem to be bitter and angry. This teaching is as Dr, Lee Robertson would have said is "right down the line. No wavering.

Why some people have that opinion is because he is not emphasing about obidence to God......the devil know more about scriptures than any human, that does not make him holy.

I've had a continuing thought come to mind when I would tell someone to forgive them. I wonder if it is from the Holy Spirit. First thought that comes is... Does a person who comes to Christ for salvation "confess his sin and ask to be forgiven"? Another that comes to mind is "ask and you will receive...". Another is "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This seems to point out that to ask for forgiveness is a necessary part of forgiveness whether from God or from others!

Exactly, he's not saying the 10 commandments and other sins don't matter. But when you look at what the 5 he's bringing up, it brings light to the others.
I got to work on the Second Sin... So much work to do on all of them for that matter.. And there is so much to argue with what you quoted from Aristotle... For one would be, when ever is the right time to meet all those conditions for us to be Angry?... Yes, forgiving is a must and it is better to be done face to face. That way, there no shadow of a doubt in anyone's eyes, and not to say there is any doubt in his Magic Eye, But there is doubt in others eyes if what happened is what truly took place ?... So asking for forgiveness face to face is 💯% good and free on that burden of sin. Just make sure the forgiving or asking to be forgiven comes from the heart and it is truly the way you feel.

Brothers and sisters..I struggle with something constantly, it never seems to just let up...if you have people in your life that are simply always going to be around, and they hurt you for fun, how does forgiveness ever 'stick', when you're hurt and angry yet again..Easy to forgive and forget when it's over, but when it is ongoing and ongoing and.................family! .

There are so many good preachers whose messages have been posted on RUclips that I'd recommend that first you tell the Lord that you really do want to obey but you really need help getting a handle on what will really help you and then trust Him that He will lead you. Then start searching and listening and making notes when you hear something that stands out to you. Remember that the more we hear something beneficial, the better we'll retain it. I find it easier to forgive someone if I pray consistently for that person. What did Jesus say? "But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those that hate you, bless those who curse you, PRAY for those who abuse you." (Luke 6:27, 28) My former wife shared how, when she was in school, a certain girl hated her. Why, she didn't know -- possibly bad blood. She prayed for this girl over time ( the girl was not aware she was praying for her). Eventually, they became very good friends. This shows what Jesus can do when we appeal to Him with an open heart. As I said, when I pray for my enemies over time, God softens my heart toward them. That doesn't mean that their offenses were harmless or ok. It means that by forgiving them, I no longer hold them to account. I release them. Jesus, Son of God forgave me from the cross. Can I do any less?
Another way you know God is in charge is that Satan and his servants literally use the rules of God as a blueprint for their attacks/accusations/false flags! If God wasn't God, they wouldn't do that. It's not that we sould not be angry as the text in Ephesians states but that the anger be justified in that it is righteous anger against those things that bring harm to others. abortion is a good example this should cause righteous indignation to see the innocent murdered. This is in agreement with what angers God himself.

The first time I heard Chuck Missler I was hooked. I'm used to him. I'm still very thankful. He left us with a bunch of comforting verses for the future. Strengthening versus. Reassurance versus. It's almost like his one video explaining how our body is not Who We Are but the inside is us. Not the shell we live in. So with that thought I realized he's not just resting in peace. To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord. He's with me every time I hit one of his videos. I never had much of a father or much of a mother. They attacked each other every minute of every day for years. I thought it was normal. Until I saw Chuck Missler and his wife and all the laughter and smiles they had for each other. And they treated their kids good. I want to tell the family members and I'm sure everybody would want to as well. Tell them that we are very thankful for the Missler family. I would like to have maybe a little prayer partner. You know like everyone picks a number out of the jar and then the name the coming back that's your secret prayer partner and whoever it is you have to pray for them for the year and if you want to and if you can't afford it send them little birthday gifts and Christmas cards you know things that show you love them. Love is an action word. Anything I learned about love I learned right here. And when I think of Jack and his wife I think of them laughing with smiles. If I think of someone and I'm in tears it's better for me not to think of them at all. He was confident and he's checking it out before we are. Remember what he taught us this is a hologram life it's got an ending there's boundaries to infinite in the world but not with God. Got him outside our time dimension. And our prayers can get 2 Gods ears through Jesus Christ. Anybody that wants to do it even if we pick someone's comment that we like and then write down that little name of who they are and have someone to look forward to everyday. You know we could read the same videos. We don't need our bodies. It's the spirit that's why Chuck Missler is not missed by me it's just a temporary waveny ocean before we will to be there. And I know Chuck he prayed over every one of these videos and all of his books. I love his honesty. He preaches the truth with love he doesn't beat people up and he gets to talk about hell and fired it Nation with such a nice Deliverance everybody wants to receive it in a way where they say what do I got to do not to go to that bad place. I tell them ask the Lord Jesus Christ and all the you know Romans and all that I explained it it's a free gift. not works lest any man should boast. If I give you a present cuz I like you and you're my friend all you have to do is take the present open it and you received it. So I don't expect you to wash my dishes or mop my floor for that gift because it was a gift a present it's a different thing. I tell people you have nothing to lose if I'm wrong about all the Bible and in God the Father God the son God the Holy Spirit then all of its wrong and I'll just go to the ground and disintegrate into the ground. So if I believe those things and then they were not true which there Jack has many many videos proving anything you want. But what is the unbeliever guys with the police he thinks is going to get him in the presence of the Lord when he dies?? Well you know what will happen he'll be judged out of the great white Throne judgment the books will be opened the 66 books the dead were judged out of that and whosoever was not found written in it faces the same Destiny as the rich man who saw the bagger in the arms of God Father Abraham. well if you are working your way there or did your rosary and Hail Marys and all the things that you were taught probably by very nice family members. But you will do all those things and then God is going to show you that's not the way. you see I've got nothing to lose by believing what I believe I can only be right and if I'm not it's not a big deal I just go in the ground. No other religion can offer eternal life like us with that King James Bible. My mother and father were terrible to me. I have a Heavenly Father and he supplied all my need my own mother wouldn't let me. She's got a her heart and all her things and I will be left out of everything and I feel bad for her because that's all she will have is the memory of those things on earth. I took care the of the perishing and cared for the dying. I don't have family kids are grown up and gone I'm stuck in the flesh part of me that wants the child Hood with the family. I try to love my mother every day and she's worse than Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest she was nice to her daughter. I love my mother anyway and I will take good care of her even know I have to leave because she doesn't like me she resented me from the day I was born never wanted me. I'm just telling it like it is that's the way it was and is so I'll the comments that other people give me and I give back to them. That's it guys oh, I made my own family dead ones are better especially says when you know they love you, then have a life family it dismisses your every comment and ignores and withhold any kind of love. she tried to hurt my father on his Deathbed:-( I think of the Bible verse and she will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. In the King James Bible I wondered why it would say that? I'm lonely but I have God + Chuck Missler to listen to every night and Dr Ruckman Dr Gene Kim and the Bible project are all my family and cousins to like you guys. And many of the people Chuck Missler Koinonia playlist has. he gave us everything because he knew it was going to be very scary and spooky. But truck was like Jesus don't be afraid. Fear not and the word but. I miss him but it's not the end yet. We have to obey everything we were taught. if anybody wants me to pray for them I will do it. I hope none of the people I'm here get sick and if God allows it for some reason that it be very brief with the least amount of consequences. thanks for listening to me it feels good sometimes to get out some of the hurt. I've had a continuing thought come to mind when I would tell someone to forgive them. I wonder if it is from the Holy Spirit.
First thought that comes is... Does a person who comes to Christ for salvation "confess his sin and ask to be forgiven"? Another that comes to mind is "ask and you will receive...". Another is "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This seems to point out that to ask for forgiveness is a necessary part of forgiveness whether from God or from others!

Yes, forgiving is a must and it is better to be done face to face. That way, there no shadow of a doubt in anyone's eyes, and not to say there is any doubt in his Magic Eye, But there is doubt in others eyes if what happened is what truly took place ?...
So asking for forgiveness face to face is 💯% good and free on that burden of sin. Just make sure the forgiving or asking to be forgiven comes from the heart and it is truly the way you feel.

There are so many good preachers whose messages have been posted on RUclips that I'd recommend that first you tell the Lord that you really do want to obey but you really need help getting a handle on what will really help you and then trust Him that He will lead you. Then start searching and listening and making notes when you hear something that stands out to you. Remember that the more we hear something beneficial, the better we'll retain it. I pray the Lord will help you.

I find it easier to forgive someone if I pray consistently for that person. What did Jesus say? "But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those that hate you, bless those who curse you, PRAY for those who abuse you." (Luke 6:27, 28)
My former wife shared how, when she was in school, a certain girl hated her. Why, she didn't know -- possibly bad blood. She prayed for this girl over time ( the girl was not aware she was praying for her).
Eventually, they became very good friends. This shows what Jesus can do when we appeal to Him with an open heart.
As I said, when I pray for my enemies over time, God softens my heart toward them. That doesn't mean that their offenses were harmless or ok. It means that by forgiving them, I no longer hold them to account. I release them. Jesus, Son of God forgave me from the cross. Can I do any less?

It's not that we sould not be angry as the text in Ephesians states but that the anger be justified in that it is righteous anger against those things that bring harm to others. abortion is a good example this should cause righteous indignation to see the innocent murdered. This is in agreement with what angers God himself.
We all must remember that we all have a book written on our life that will be opened at the judgment seat, but some have a FREE gift to go straight to heaven ( as Jesus Christ said unless you are born of water and spirit you can not enter the kingdom of heaven).
