Ok that part about fine print and how companies/the govt should make life admin easier for customers/citizens, esp for less privileged folks, was not a political take I’ve ever heard. It’s Really cool that you’re talking about how these mundane things can affect people. It’s not as hot as certain cultual issues, but it’s still valuable for people to know! Thanks for the knowledge.

I’m definitely an avoider and I tried to hire an assistant but giving the assistant work to do was more work than just doing it myself and couldn’t justify the cost. It’s not that we don’t feel mental turmoil in “not worrying about it” it’s just that the time, pain, cost and consequences of worrying about it are so great it’s better to just learn to get over it.

As someone who tries to read terms and conditions, thank you for that final point about not making people read fine print! It’s exhausting. One of the things I’ve thought about is having a standard terms and conditions that people can read, and then individual companies let people know what does and doesn’t apply, and if there’s anything extra.
