The Big Sister was designed by a concept artist named Colin Fix!! When i was a kid and obsessed with this game i sent him an email asking him for advice on how to get better at/be a good concept artist, sent him some pictures of my work, and he answered and gave me advice. Very well done🎉🎉🎉@tales from the art side. I remember when Bioshock 2 came out and, I first got a violent introduction with The Big Sister. I was like “ well crap what kind of an a**kicking am I in for” lol. It was a difficult fight but worth it, to see the detail that went into the game. You sir have done an excellent job on this Big Sister. I think the Bioshock creator would be proud of the Awesome detail you’ve put into this piece. Well done 👍 🎊 🎉❤❤😁
Here's your star 🌟 Dude, you are freaking amazing talented. I know what Bioshock is but don't know any lore etc. I've made a few things here n there but , you're on a way higher level. Very cool ! one more star just cuz ☆ Edit - so , I have a thing for brass and copper, over the years I've got amassed an admirable amount of figures, chachskis, doo dads, gizmos and gadgets made of brass and copper, including a decent sized box of just brass and copper junk, anything from nuts to washers to chunks and what's is. Anyhow, i have cobbled a few things, mostly these mini army tanks, a larger tank that actually turned out cool, a wasp that I gave away, and this other project that I've been working on for a really years but I dont know what it's gonna be yet. It's getting my imagination up to create is my problem. I can't seem to find thr ambition. That and ive got all these other things im trying to do, build a model then paint it. I can build but I suck at painting. Make a new sheath for my Leatherman, I've got all the tools etc, I'm just not very good at Leather work. I even bought some very nice pre tooled leather to make myself a truckers wallet, once again I'm afraid I'll mess it up, cuz I'm not very good. What I'm saying is, do I have too many irons in the fire ? Trying to a jack of all trades? Is making models like these your greatest skill or are you as good at other things too ? What can I do to up my game on my hobbies n crafts ? Any ideas would be great.
Wow thank you very much! I will try to do my best to answer your question. First of all yes. I am good at many things. But I wasn't always good at many things. It took a lot of time. ( I have worked as a pro artist of some sort for nearly 25 years. But when I had to start somewhere. And I like you always wanted to do a lot of things I would see something cool and wanted to try it and be good at it. I first learned to draw and paint. (Like traditionally, pencil and paper, canvas and oils) I worked on them a while, then began to model/sculpt and paint digitally. then learned to start working leather (somewhat, still learning) I learned simple electrical. Anyway may point is it took time and I built upon the knowledge and skill bit by bit. And found one skill would build and make easier or expand another skill. If that makes sense. Sort of a snowball affect. I love to here the passion and desire to learn in your comment. Use that and don't let the desire to learn it quick frustrate you. Oh and don't be afraid to fail. You will screw up that is not only going to happen but is a natural part of the process. Experiment and learn. For example I learned not to have a really cool leather, fancy sketchbook to learn in. Why you will never use it because you will be too afraid to screw it up, so you cheap copy paper. If you make a mistake, who cares it is the place you learn, experiment, practice and grow. Like a musician we only see the big concert, we don't see all the screw ups and practice to be able to play at that concert. Keep going and you will get there, but just keep going... Hope that helps. Thank you for the question.
Wow, I'm surprised I'm finding this channel so early into your career. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with, consider me subscribed!
unfortunate that there’s only a few more bioshock enemies that could be made like this. The lancer, rumbler, and alpha series from bioshock 2 and Minerva’s den, the rosie from bioshock, I think if you tried you could make the brute splicer or the spider splicer from 2 as well. Probably wouldn’t be as fun or get the same level of attention as the bouncer. That design is just too good.
Yeah, I think it might actually take a few years to get through all the great Bioshock designs. I plan to do Songbird next. Then I may take a break from Bioshock at least for a bit. I'm making plans for some non bioshock builds. If you have any thoughts, let me know.

Hot glue sticks make great candles easy to male a hole in and can be melted at the base and top

Thank you! I appreciate it. 🌟
Wow, thank you so much! Yeah , you hear that screech, and know she is coming to open a can of whoop on you! Thanks for your comments.
Here's your star 🌟
Dude, you are freaking amazing talented. I know what Bioshock is but don't know any lore etc.
I've made a few things here n there but , you're on a way higher level.
Very cool !
one more star just cuz ☆
Edit - so , I have a thing for brass and copper, over the years I've got amassed an admirable amount of figures, chachskis, doo dads, gizmos and gadgets made of brass and copper, including a decent sized box of just brass and copper junk, anything from nuts to washers to chunks and what's is.
Fantastic job. That character is why I gave up playing Bioshock as I couldn't get past her. :)
Thank you so much! Yeah when you hear her scream you know you're in trouble.
Very very good
I'm so glad you liked it!
so sick
Thank you! Glad you liked it. Thanks for commenting 🙂
I’d love to see your take on an original mech suit of some kind!
Thank you for the suggestion. I appreciate it and thank you for watching!
Another banger video my guy! Creativity unmatched
Also you said something about oil painting? Mayne you could show us how you do that some time
Thank you! Yeah, I could do some painting videos. Do you think folks would like that?
@TalesFromTheArtSide hell yeah my dude! I think alot of people would be interested, maybe you could paint your models? That be fun
Cool, I will try to work a painting into the lineup.
Awesome project. Love the bioshock games. Planning on making a big daddy. Good luck with your channel!!
Thank you very much! I hope the Big Daddy project turns out great!
Wow, I'm surprised I'm finding this channel so early into your career. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with, consider me subscribed!
Thank you so much! Yeah, I'm just trying to get this thig off the ground. Thank you for the subscribe. Welcome to the Artside!
unfortunate that there’s only a few more bioshock enemies that could be made like this. That design is just too good.
wow I forgot infinite. songbird, iron patriot, and boys of silence are all good choices. Even the siren.
Yeah, I think it might actually take a few years to get through all the great Bioshock designs. I plan to do Songbird next. Then I may take a break from Bioshock at least for a bit. I'm making plans for some non bioshock builds. If you have any thoughts, let me know.

If you are not tired of heavily armored Video game characters the Dark Souls Series is a great place to look.
Thanks for the tip. I hadn't even thought of Dark Souls.
* First time on your channel.
Great work.
Thank you, and welcome! Oh, and thanks for the star 🌟
Very well made. But more weathering and scuffing especially in the shirt. Also some light behind the colored epoxy tubes. But very impressive.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback and I will keep that in mind for the next build. Thank you for watching! Each one is an adventure.
