Steve, Was looking for a butter pecan sheetcake online, and your mom had one she was demonstrating. I remember her from years ago and Bucky. She was the frst RUclipsr that I followed all the time that passed away. By, that takes me back with all her and Bucky's stories and how they first met. Miss your sweet mom. Have fun with your videos, and I'll pop in from time to time. THUMBS UP!!!
Everything looks great as always! Parsnips are amazing if you cook them like we do here in the mountains. Fried in a cast iron skillet using the grease from fat back or bacon. Put a little white sugar in the grease and then add parsnips. Fry on both sides. until soft. One of my favorite dishes ever. Granny's were better, but mine are not half bad..lol. We have enjoyed having Ben in the kitchen! Always love seeing him. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!
Best skillet ever! Cast iron skillets, are by far, the very best way to cook/fry food. Many people don't realize by utilizing a cast iron skillet, they're adding a 'touch' of iron in their food. I would've really enjoyed that meal. Looked absolutely delicious! Y'all have a beautiful three day weekend. Stay safe. 🇺🇲
PARSNIP: A parsnip is a long, tapered root vegetable. It resembles a carrot in this way, and indeed they are part of the same family, but parsnips don't taste like carrots. They're sweeter-think sweet potatoes-and they have a delicious naturally nutty or earthy flavor.
Wow... You sure looked like your mama on this video. First thing I noticed is your hands. For sure like hers! Missed you! Hope all is well. May God bless you and your precious family ✝️
Your chicken beurre blanc turned out nice! You did really good for your first try! It looks delicious! 😋 Good to see you again Stephen! Happy Labour Day long weekend to you and your family! ❤️
That looks great ! I don't think I've ever seen a parsnip, and certainly never tasted one. Must not be common NC hillbilly food. We really miss your Sunday devotionals!
Hey Steve! Always good to see you and your family. This dish sounds scrumptious! I learned Beurre Blanc means. I knew Blanc was white. But, I had no clue that Buerre was butter!! Good to see you! Best to your bride (TRMR)! ❤
Parsnips look like white carrots. They have a bit of a floral fragrance to them. I believe people in Great Britain cook them and mash them with potatoes. They aren't very good raw like carrots. Also a little tougher than carrots.
Hi Parsnips look like carrots, but they're white. Roast them with the carrots. They are delicious. Also I always make my chicken soup with then along with carrots and celery and onions ❤ I will be trying this recipe❤ Take care see you soon❤ glad your back.
Love the recipe but would want more gravy too lol . Got to have gravy.. parsnips are a lot like potatoes to me do not have a lot of taste unless you mix it with something usually put it in stews in place of potatoes. .. God Bless all your family.. love from Kansas🥰
I 'very had beure blanc in France. Will make your recipe, easy and quick. Stephen you look tired. You've been working long hours. Made Ben's dumplings. Very goof

Parsnips look/cut like a carrot but are whitish & have same texture. They grow like carrots. Not a fan of them, but roasted may be better for me.

I sometimes air fry cut up parsnips, carrots, and onion together. Then salt, pepper and drizzle a bit of honey over.
@@theeyesehaveitI've seen a bunch of recipes with honey. I did use honey when I made them. I doubt I will buy them again but I like trying new things.
I haven't been getting your videos lately, so I subscribed again. I was getting worried. The meal looked great.

PRsnips are white carrots
Blanc means white in French but do not sound the c! Love your recipes!
So that's what a clean oven looks like 😂
I assumed this was going to be your mom. ❤
Parsnips: white carrots, but not 😂
Love it!
Thanks!!
Parsnip is from the turnip family and suede. It’s a little sweet ,but I think it’s an aquired taste xx
I learned the hard way that if you turn on the heat after you add the butter, ,the butter will separate...
😅😅😅😅😅
I 'very had beure blanc in France. Will make your recipe, easy and quick. Stephen you look tired. You've been working long hours. Made Ben's dumplings. Very goof
…grows in the ground…lol…I think Stephen missed that “little” humor…
How about wearing an apron to help keep your shirt clean❤
Now THAT is a good idea. I know the Ravishing Mrs. Ritter would appreciate a downturn in the amount of laundry...
Looks delicious!
