As great as they are, and I'm in complete agreement with you on that, there are plenty of great punk rock bands out there, both male and female-fronted. You just can't expect mainstream media to serve them up to you...
Check out Deadline. Great female-fronted band. Their 2006 album "Take a Good Look" is my personal favorite.

This a true classic. In 20 years people will look back at this band and say how sick they where back in the day. Ill be 65. People who lived through the punk / grunge generation know great tunes. This is one them.
Some people just own the camera. She is remarkable. The band is banging. And superb live.

@@GoldwaterB hmm good point, maybe it was filmed out of order and edited this way. Those lights aren't so dangerous though, I would be more worried about inhaling the glass dust or a shard falling in my eye than a cut on the hand/arm.

I’m so stoked! I just recently discovered this band and I’m in love with the no fucks given attitude and true punk nature of their music.
I discovered them last summer via Sleaford Mods when I was killing off the hours on the internet during the beginning of Covid isolation and I highly endorse everything about them. You should dig into interviews with Amy. She's quite funny, perceptive, and an all around no bullshit person. She's not a punk imitator. She's the real deal! Keep listening!
Found them at the Bon Scott Festival right before the covid lockdown started.

Same here, over the past few years ive been revisiting old music genres and fell into the riot girl bands of the early 90s (L7's Fuel my fire👌) and Amyl and the Sniffers became a suggestion...interesting but i failed to return...now im 4 weeks relistening to them daily and finding new depts to their music on every listen...fanf**kintastic!

I'm glad that the main character finally made it to the beach by the end of the story. I was also amazed at how many different outfits she changed into along her journey.

They're starting too. When I first heard of these guys they were no bodies. A few of their videos like Balaklava lover were in the negative likes. Now they're views and likes are in the millions lol
Actually there were so many AWESOME Aussie bands in the 80's that got ignored by alot of the rest of the world. Beloved in Oz though. This band might easily been one of those. Either way, it was a pity.
I dont see how you figure that Dan Gee! After all, Amy Taylor is frontin' her band and putting out videos for a good portion of tracks on the albums. Fans come in droves to see her live (not just on her Island but the states). They're selling tickets starting at $60 a piece! Something tells me, she is pulling in quite the fan base!

I'm 51 and chuffed as nuts that Amyl and the Sniffers are out there. I am lucky enough to have witnessed the original punk scene in the UK. Over the years I've seen a lot of bands playing a parody of punk, all the looks, all the moves, but no idea. These guys are the real fricken deal. You can't fake that energy, commitment, passion and talent. Absolutely top draw. Love every second of this band playing. Keep it going. Good to see the punk flag is flying high in Oz :-)

There's actually quite a bit of them out there, all over the world. US, UK, Japan, Morrocco, France, there's so a lot not so well known punk bands that have put their music up on Spotify and Bandcamp. They're tucked away, but when you find them its like all is well in the world again.
