I love the beginning of your video 😂 A great selection of really different books. 84 Charring Cross Road is a lovely gentle read. The film adaptation is also really good. It's an old film but lovely to watch on a rainy day, snuggled up.
Thanks for the mention Beki! I recommended Hokkaido Highway Blues as well and I loved hearing about it in your video, it made me want to read it again! I also need to get to 84 Charing Cross Road. Ring the Hill is fantastic, as is Tom Cox’s first nature book 21st Century Yokel. He also writes a lot about animals, particularly Hares, and his walks in the countryside as you mentioned. Tom Cox books are very eclectic and I love them. Great video! I need to read more non-fiction soon so I will write down your suggestions from everyone. 😊📚
Great recommendations! The adoption one sounds very intriguing and I must try a Tom Cox book as I know that Alice loves them. Another great non-fiction memoir is Born a Crime by Trevor Noah, which describes his childhood as a mixed race boy growing up in South Africa 😊📚
Yes to 84 Charing Cross Rd! It's such a heart-explosion of the 20th century different US and UK personalities ❤Just finally read myself a couple months ago.
So many of these sound amazing. As soon as you mentioned Tom Cox I knew that would be a rec from Alice 😂 I’m filming my wrap up today and then I’ll post that book up to you matey 👍🏻
Also, Bill Bryson is brilliant! I need to read the one you talked about, my husband has listened to it on audio and said he learnt a lot. My favourite by him so far is A Walk in the Woods. 😊
The Girl with Seven Names was really interesting. For non-fiction, I would also recommend the Five (about the victims of Jack the Ripper) if you haven't read it yet. And yay for finishing Pachinko!
Loved your intro! *lol* And yes, IG deletes stories after 24 hours. I've had that problem too. XD So many interesting recommendations! I really hope you'll like them all! =)
