Pachy might be “on top” when your in a coordinated group of 6 pachys all being in VC being able to communicate and gang up on Dino’s that you outnumber. But I still don’t think “Pachy is on top” when most players are either by themselves, with randoms, or with 1 or 2 of their friends because that creates an entirely different play style where pachy gets wrecked.
@@nexo1398 the game is not meant to be played solo... its meant to be a social/survival dino sim. You increase your odds of survival SO much when you try to form a herd though nesting could use some growth speed.
Idk, i can hold my own pretty well as a pachy, especially when i play it how its supposed to be played; Defensive. Just break em, and run. break em, and run. unless its 1-4 raptors, its easy to be offensive with them and kill them.
also for those that dont know, pachy ram does a litle hop, whatever you hit in that airborn period is an automatic fracture. ramming down hill gives you a much bigger window, never ram uphill.
I don't think anybody is saying that Pachy is unviable, just that it feels quite underwhelming and unfun to play (when it comes to solo play at least). Even if they were saying that I don't think that showing 5-6 Pachys ganging on 1 or 2 things where multiple bites are going through you would exactly prove much. Kinda confused as to why that's in the title in that case
People are literally not playing because there is no more stun. Just prevents solo and not enough people actually group up and defend or attack as a coordinated group. I get why the stun needs to be gone but I do wish it still stunned when a fracture was created.

hardly.. it does wicked damage and stuns opponents as well which makes for easy stun locks when you have a group. If more people played it they could group together easy and have a blast. Its still the most fun dino by far since you can just live easy as a herbi and not worry about the pack starving while also just having a blast brawling carnos.. only problem is people are just parroting its nerfed to the ground when it was only balanced to a much better state where it cant 2v1 carnos as a herb lol

I don't think Pachys should win a 1v1 against a creature 3 times heavier than him, unless extremelly skilled. But getting punished for both missing AND hitting your main attack is kinda sad...
Seems to be a lot of people that complain are really just solo play. Listen guys, there's no other way to say this; If you're an herbivore and you're not an apex, there's no solo play, group up or die alone. Pretty much every herbivore on the planet that isn't apex, and even most apex herbivores, group up. You wanting to play a relatively weak herbivore without groups is the problem.
This game really needs better hit reactions/stuns/interruptions. Based on weight difference, strength of attack etc. etc. Because right now it is similar to the Legacy, bite for bite and nothing more fancy.
just played solo pachy on the new update and stayed alive for a few hours. i will say it's still fun against things it's size or smaller, and thankfully it can just run away from cera. cool that you can use a team to still go against higher weight dinos tho. impressive coordination from you guys
yeah i wish more people played it. Its so easy to live and have fun solo but it absolutely thrives in groups. Everyone is just afking on deinos which I don't get because sure ya its OP but its also such a zzzz experience. Packy you are just zooming around the map never having to worry about starving just praying you can find 1 or 2 other packy's to start messing some carnos or ceras up but unfortunately everyone's just bandwagoning that they suck when they are super balanced and easily most fun dino imo.
Group play looks fun , I've tried solo pachy and ya well its plain weak sauce to be honest you basically just go for leg breaks hope you don't get hit then run away that's about it, but it looks like a group can help mitigate pachys weakness.

does the charged ram do any ore dmg than tap rap and if not whats the point of charging up a ram and making a highly choregraphed risky hit to an enemy like a carno which can 3 shot you
What GPU are you using? Just curious as parts are slowly coming in over the next 7-10 days for my new build and so far, I have chosen the 6800XT but have thought about sending it back for a 6950XT or even stepping down to a 6700XT since most my game time is casual. I have been without a gaming PC for one year and living off an iPad and an older laptop. The Isle is a game I've always wanted to play and plan to start playing by end of the month. Even my wife and kids are interested in dinking around on the game a bit when I am at work.

Also trying to put together some raptor squads lol but there is just something so fun and satisfying about packy's. You never having to worry about starving as a group which feels really nice. I still enjoy carnos but it can be tricky as frick making sure your whole group has enough to eat wheras you can just live for hours for free as packy havin a blast creeping around the server and growing while also gooning on the million other juvenile carnos lol. Ya your health poor isnt as high but any carno fighting another carno still basically dies in several hits nevermind fighting deinos so i don't really get the issue. People just salty packy isn't some OP stunlocker anymore i guess but the game does feel like its in a great state of balance if people start actually playing more of the other dinos and trying to start pugs/nest.
Are they still a decent pick tho as a solo? I’m new to the game and I like the faster dinos instead of the slow strong ones. Any suggestions? Herbs or carn idc just something fast that can solo as well

Pachy is just depressing this update. You need a group if you're even gonna try and do anything besides live in a forest and avoid all types of interactions. It gets punished for trying to defend itself, if it misses a ram it has a good chance of getting aggressively fucked in the ass while a Raptor can miss seventy billion pounces and not give a single shit. Balance this update is an absolute joke, it might honestly be the worst balance has ever been in Evrima. They butchered Pachy and it's simply not worth playing solo anymore. Even in a group it's not worth playing, as you can simply be a group of Tenos and be infinitely more useful and at less of a risk, you can also go on the offensive without trading a third of your health with each hit, unlike Pachy. Pachy used to be a dinosaur that was incredibly good at punishing people who were cocky and bad at the game, almost acting like a skill check. Now it's the exact opposite, you can completely turn your brain off while fighting a Pachy and be perfectly fine.

@@ScopeOGyt That's the thing, most people that play the game can't work together with randoms compared to a coordinated group in VC, so most servers are full of those who aren't in a group and can't really work as a team lol. I rarely see pachies as I rarely see Troodons even tho all the hype for it was crazy lol.

Yesterday I clapped 3 fully grown pachy's trying to simply make my life miserable for no reason, yes they did got my leg fractured to hell, but they stood absolutely no chance, take note with fractured leg I wasn't able to ALT bite so it was a bit difficult, but they made a lot of mistakes, took them full on 3 vs 1 with about 74% health remaining.
omni, pachy, troodon, cera. those are now my go tos, cera feels so strong for a solo player (which is usually what i am doin) killed a full grown carno with 5 troodons, only 2 of us lived.. they feel great if you got a good pack, omni i havent really played since i got back but used to main it, and pachy, while we have a much harder time with carnos. all i like doing is collecting brain matter anyways, so usually im just bullying people an letting them live so i can get that blood crown
honestly had fun with a solo pachy the other day. Finding other herbis to fight alongside is your best bet since most will take u in. I just group hopped all over spiro and got quite a few kills. Unfortunately raptors are the bane of pachys existence now since they outstam them so hard and killing one with a pack is almost impossible.

Yeah currently no real solo play which the solo plays with the stun were crazy. I still wish the stun happened on fractures.
