The adults ( older important people in the village ) know that Naruto has the 9 tail inside him and all elite ninjas and some below elite ninjas as well know it. The kids ( meaning naruto age people 12- 13 ) dont know, and even ninjas who are 16 or 18 right now dont know. Kakashi was 27 when naruto started, he knows and people his age and above know it too, meaning ninja people not average people in the village..
I agree with you whole heartedly, I think he could have just smacked her head on her fan planted in front of her right after he got her but the argument that made sense to me was that winning here would mean lots more work for him in the future which he just isn't about.
He did. And everyone there, INCLUDING Temari knew it. That's why he was promoted. Who won or lost by the rules was just a formality that didn't actually matter. EVERYONE knew who ACTUALLY won.
In the first round he asked or the instructor metioned that winning the tournament doesnt actually make you chunnin. He knew what that meant, you gotta show your skills thats it, and he knew that a jounin could see he wasnt actually tired, he just flexed in the tournament and said: what i had show by now should let me get to chunnin a then he give up
no he figured out that to be a chunnin isn't about who wins but who shows his ability, he could win Temari there, but that would be a long match, as he said he planned 200 moves ahead, he got it all figured out, he just too lazy to do it.
@@zegasi1274 I'd say it's more him consoling himself over not getting to try any other plans due to lacking Chakra. If he makes it a 'drag' in his opinion, than it's not in his interest to win, so he can write it off as inconsequential instead of lamenting at his eventual loss due to his low chakra reserves. I like that they called it on this decision to have clarity of mind when he knew he was out of options instead of brute forcing the situation for ego or competitiveness. He really did display the qualities of a Squad leader with that call and he'd only get more useful with more pieces on the board to bolster his tactical prowess. Unlike any other battle shown in this exhibition, he kept himself out of danger until he knew he could capture his target safely.
Shikamaru gave up because he used too much of his chakra on that last shadow possession but remember it doesn't if you win or lose you could still become Chunin through the judges eyes
@@craigime Then that would mean he'll have barely chakra left for his next fight with shino And like he said it would just be more work and also he's lazy he would give up immediately in the next fight
@@craigime bruh atop coming up with things. You think you know more than shikamaru, there’s a reason why he gave up. He is a strategist, he is not so strong in terms of physical fights. My man would never win against temari if he “stab” her. Not to mention that you don’t even know if the shadow possession jutsu is fast enough to get cancel while stabbing someone.
I honestly think he'd Make Chunnin like Shikamaru if given the chance to show himself. He always has "An ace in the hole" and thinks ahead well, along with Kankuro having a bad matchup against him, considering Shino can jam his puppet's mechanisms with beetles, disrupt Kankuro's chakra strings and keep him from accessing it unless it's in short enough bursts to not have them follow the chakra trail back to him and attack and that's not even considering Shino himself, who has a better setup for attacking while using ninjutsu which is also opportunities to deposit beetles onto him. He also has the advantage of attacking blind unlike Kankuro, with the trees as cover. Shino got robbed here lol.
The scene was cut off from the reaction, I dont know if it was from the dubbed english version too, but when shikamaru is explaining why did he gave up he said that he planned about 200 moves ahead, the reason was it would require some effort since he was out of chakra and mostly, because if he won he would have to fight in the next bracket which would be even more of a "drag". The way you guys interpreted left the impression that he was going to lose.
you know, i find it funny how people praise this fight so much... but miss one aspect that makes it even better: it ALWAYS hints at the twist. you see him without his jacket when he throws the kunai to make the shadow, but it also shows the holes on the ground. and yet, it always catch people by surprise when its revealed how he gets her. this is how you make a fight with twists. you feed people all the hints, without making them too obvious.
I stan shikamaru as much as the next guy but he didn't "let" Temari win or give up just because he was being lazy and the fact that he was made a Chunin proves it. Think for a moment what type of person you would want to pass the exam: Option A: Shikamaru could have won but he gives up at the end cause he says he's lazy and doesn't want to do anymore matches. Or that he's "flexing" and knows he's shown enough to judges to pass. Option B: Shikamaru displayed his skills but was still smart enough to realize he didn't have the chakra to keep the fight going and would ultimately lose so he surrenders instead. The purpose of ninjas are to complete missions, not just win fights. Being able to recognize when fighting the person standing in the way of your objective isn't a viable option is incredibly important so that you can then figure out a different way to complete your objective. That's why he was made a Chunin of all the other candidates in the Leaf. We actually are never told story wise what decisions if any the Sand make in regards to making their own people Chunin, and that's assuming Temari and and Kankuro were even really considered Genin in their land at this point anyway. Remember that the Sand was just using the exam as a front to attack the Leaf, they didn't really care about the exams. It's totally possible both Temari and Kankuro were already actually chounin considering that this was in fact just a mission for them.
You know how shikamaru could have won? Slam his head into the hole that Naruto created. He will be okay but temari would slam her head onto the ground.
to be fair, some people are able to tell the distance from a target, or the height of a person on sight alone. she has a long range attack, its very possible that she uses targets with defined distances(kinda like archery), she recognized the distance, and added what she thought would complete the diference. she might be exact, or could just be an aproximation. but not that farfetch if you ask me.
The algorithm led me to this particular reaction. If you are going to watch everything from Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and possibly Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, it will take you a while. Also, your comment about Naruto coming a long way is more true than you know.
Neji's dad's story is a little bit stupid to be honest when you think about it. He still ended up dying which was his destiny. So he never defied his destiny. He just put a different meaning behind the act. That wouldn't work for me if I was Neji because everything Neji believes about destiny still would remain. He still has the curse mark. He still has to protect the main family.
@Greg Gaming I totally understand the point. That is why I said he put a different meaning behind the act. But it still aligned with his destiny as being in the branch family. One of Neji's fundamental beliefs is that you are born with a destiny you cannot escape. His dad made a decision that also aligned with his destiny so still, he never went against his destiny. So when it comes to Neji's beliefs about Destiny, what his dad did not prove otherwise. That is my point.
I think they watched parts of it before as kids but cant really remember what happened, so they want to know whats going on before they start Shippuden
