Protosses around 5k tried this build when it was hot but then they realized it requires micro and good timing and they went back to normal.
The all in is mnot the issue it's rather the followup against 6.6k players....

Seriously, thank you so much for these videos. I need to get back in the grind. I'm in diamond and have had a rough go at it lately. I'm on a 6 game skid. Watching these videos and practicing the builds vs ai and unranked. Hopfully I can get some mmr after a few days of practice.

This still happens, just yesterday a Gold Protoss destroyed me with a quick 10 blink stalker attack. It didn't help that my first Banshee flew directly over the stalkers and was immediately taken out. I'm a Silver Terran, just started playing in recent months.

Great guide, Marc! A question though: you have to chose this build order before you can actually confrim it is this build. So how would this build play out against a standard 3 gate blink into quick 3rd? Do you go for 3cc before 3 rax?
This build is just a regular tank push, if you're not defending you just push out with 2 tanks to his third while sending banshees in the main or whereever you want. I do play 3cc before 3rax with this build yes :)
What is the answer if we are doing the three pronged TvP build?

Hey Thermy, your lectures are really good! Very clear logic with lots of in-depth analysis. Thanks so much for making these wonderful vids. I do have two questions:
1) I sometimes see protoss have early vc/robo and then goes dt or dt drops. Are there reliable ways that we could distinguish between 4 gate blink and dt? Or do we need to make blind turrets?
2) Any tips on how to micro bio against disruptors? I see a lot of terrans (myself included ofc) getting a lead but end up throwing the game just by getting one or two disruptor hits...
In the case of DT drop the twilight council is way earlier than the robo and they also dont make many gateway units to be able to afford everything ( sometimes they even make just 1 )
2) When playing against disruptors the most important part is just not being pinned down, if you sit at home backed up against your ccs there is not much you can do against it. You should be out on the map or do some drops to make the game a bit more hectic and then try to get a big surround when its the right time

before this guide i somehow managed to lose with good building placement,2 bunkers at front and 1 at main,4 tanks,each tank covering atleast 1 other
toss decided to tank 3 free tank shots,then blink at my tanks and i was like okay why are you throwing? well he actually won lol. maybe my marines were not in position i guess.but still very annoying build and it snowballs so easily
Yeah its a very annoying style to play against, stay disciplined with your unit movement and building placements and its very doable though :)

Do you think you should go for a bunker in the main as well?
I don't think its necessary, in some cases it could even block your unit movement/building positioning a bit when the protoss yoloes his stalkers past your bunker
do you never try to snipe the warp prism?
Not really, shouldnt work with marines without stim

@uThermal great video. Can you do one on defeating a Protoss Air build? Playing bio vs toss, I lose to that the most.
I feel like that widow mine was the mvp of the defence and it went unmentioned.
how unbalanced the game is: a gm can barely defend this with perfect scouting, reaction, build order, unit and building placement as well as micro whereas a diamond toss can pull this off with ease
@ZenPhilosopher123 which he doesn't need to be, what i am saying is that even with a major difference in skill, a lower toss player is able to beat a much higher skilled terran with balance advantages like this. and if you disagree, which is totally fine, then please come back and tell your opinion, when any terran player wins a major tournament in the future (which hasn't happened since years btw)

@@nihil-baxter Sc2 is not just skills! It's much more complex than that you have to scout your opponent, make right choices, have a strategy... Most of the time if a player lose it's because he makes too much mistakes!
@ZenPhilosopher123 By a skill I mean army control micro and macro, good gestion of camera hotkeys etc..These are real skills pretty hard to master even in master league and low gm! Scouting, decision making, strategy, every freaken player can really improve that with a lot of practice. So instead of being ironic try to understand.
Interesting to see your ideas for defense as a Terran, as I am a Protoss player. Its wierd you never mention observer sniping. When doing this build if the Terran kills my first observer I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable blinking in as I have to use the prism and its so dangerous. Also this guy didnt do the build exactly right as your supposed to throw down a third as you move out, also he took 4th gas. I learned the build from Harstems video and have got it down pretty tight. I mainly watch Harstem videos but this was very interesting to see the other side!
Hey uThermal, just wanted to clear up one thing you mentioned that may confused terrans.
The robo doesn't necessarily have to be a part of the wall with blink openers. That's only the case with 2 gates into a fast 3rd nexus.
Stats and Zest may always open 2 gates nowadays, but I've lost count of how many times I've seen Trap go 3 gates into a fast 3rd base.
Its about the blink allin specifically, they have to make the robo really early ( before their gates and before blink ) so they usually put it in the wall to be safe
we miss this guides. please bring them back!
