I've had 3 neck fusions within the past 10 years. With my last surgery Nov 2020, the major problem I have (even to this day) is the occipital muscles are too tight, generating horrible headaches for myself. Nothing helps - I've had PT numerous times and I still do all of those same stretches every day on my own, I have neck pillows I use to sleep, I've had massages, I have braces I use to try and stretch these muscles. I, as well as my surgeon, are at a loss of what to do. Anything helpful you could advise of? My MRI done 9/9 shows
C3-C4: There is no significant spinal canal stenosis. Uncovertebral/facet hypertrophy results in moderate right and mild left neuroforaminal narrowing.
C4-C5: There is no significant spinal canal stenosis. Uncovertebral/facet hypertrophy results in mild right and moderate left neuroforaminal narrowing.
What does this mean in regards to headaches everyday? I'm at a loss for words b/c I don't want any more neck surgeries.

I have very similar neck and daily severe pain. And most neurologists don't believe this neck abnormalities can be the cause of headaches, I hope you feel better.
