man i remember years back when i just got into japanese music and i discovered Oddloop and saw the MV, i had such a huge crush on Yuho (shorter haired girl from the MV)
There is a sick Hololive EN fan animation MV for it too.
I love the MV - there is something super hypnotic about it.
The song lyrics are mostly about things like dancing all the night and stuff. Yet I like how it all has just a little, little, hint of melancholy to it. Like reminicing of a summerday from your youth, being like "Man, those were good times."
Frederic has been my absolute favorite Japanese band for several years now.
Oddloop was the first song I hear from them when I found them at random on youtube.
Fun info: the singer and base player are brothers and twins.
They have so much energy, positivity, quirkiness always so happy and smiling during their performances.

"Oddloop" (the original version) is really an amazing song. I love the mv as well, it has over 130 Mio views! The First Take version is also cool, more of a raw feel to it.

Maaaaaaaan! How long have I not seen them! I met them by chance, through a random recommendation that RUclips had made to me (this was in mid-2015), since then they became fans automatically (at the time their songs were posted on the A-Sketch Music Label RUclips channel, by the way it was behind this channel that I managed to meet several other artists). I remember that at the time the band wasn't very well known in other countries outside of Japan (even in Japan they kind of took a while for them to have a certain recognition, their song "oddloop" being their first big hit, but still being understood as meme, largely because of the choreography presented in its music video, which later years later ended up becoming a striking feature and which would be the band's differential). Finally a few years later the band would release a song that would make the rest of the world know them. The band were responsible for the opening song of the anime Koi To Uso, the name of the song is "Kaneshii Ureshii" (because the chorus of the song is quite easy to memorize and sing, besides being musically very exciting, so the music became internationally known by anime fans at the time, meaning that the band has also now been recognized in fact by other countries).
Edit: 2:36 I believe that Kenji Mihara (vocalist) was very apprehensive and nervous during the presentation, so much so that he ended up messing up and accidentally wrong the lyrics, but that didn't make him lose his animation, returning with everything to the show.

The lyrics are pretty much how much they love to dance all night and how boring the night is when you're not dancing. Take it with a grain of salt as I didn't check any of it, but I did see somewhere that it's based on the tragic ghost story of two girls who committed suicide in the '70s when dancing and partying was supposedly prohibited. A group of people frequented an abandoned subway station where they used to have parties. The ghosts of the girls have lived in that neighborhood ever since (at least the video for the song matches that story). Anyways, this band is amazing so please check more from them!

And The footage match the concept that named "odd-loop".
Actually, nobody knows about that "odd-loop" is Japanese means puning "Odoru" = "Dance", "Ru-pu (same means in English)" = "Loop". :)
This was the song that dragged me into JPOP and anime-related stuff back then... man good times

Day 54 of recommending the Beyblade openings.
There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
