This is awesome! I am also from upstate NY and this is soo true to growing up! I can remember loving the big fuzzy slippers and pajamas grandma would get me every year to snuggle in from the cold

@@dannalhobart I do live here, I lived in Northern CA for 3 years and absolutely loved it, but my mom got sick so I came back here, gotta do what you can for family ya know. I do hope to move back to CA one day.
This poem was so intense, could feel the cold you talk about. He's right, warm temperatures aren't good for sleeping, of course, you don't have to freeze! I've just spent a few days in NY in the Winter, but I can remember the pinching cold (as well as the heat in the Summer), it's funny how bad it can be in the very same place (cold and heat). Never been to California, I hope I can visit one day. Been to Florida and that was the warmest place I've ever been to, incredibly humid too. But people in the house used to set the air conditioning so cold that during Summer I was wearing long pants, a sweater and a headband inside. I promise! Not used to that level of AC!😁 Thanks for sharing and for having James as an amazing reader.
