At my Middle School, we had an Earthquake Drill during my gym class in 7th grade, and I thought the alarm wasn't going to go off, because at all the other elementary schools I went to, when we had Earthquake drills, they would never pull the fire alarm, they would just tell us through the intercom to evacuate, but as we started to evacuate the gym, the fire alarm started going off!
I’m pretty sure to the doorway in an earthquake can also be safe. I remember one of the earthquakes in New Zealand where a house collapse, however, the door way was the only thing which didn’t fully collapse. It definitely won’t protect you from falling objects but it can protect you from a collapsing house. I said that it can be safe because where I live, typically in the older houses, it is safer to be under a door rather than a table, however, in newer houses it’s better to be under a table.
I live in an area that doesn’t have any earthquakes, but back in elementary we did practice fire drills and active shooter drills. How frequent are these earthquake drills are practiced?
This is a great idea to show our children what they have to do in case of a earthquake.Thank you Harvard Elementary School, Thank you Mrs Kehoe.
The teacher did a good job!
I am a Japanese....Training to actually go to the designated evacuation site on foot is also important! Japan does it four times a year.

I have anxiety and panic attacks and flashbacks PTSD because of my past and I have two panic attacks everyday at school and one at home ones a day
I'm very sorry. That must be difficult.
