They are not going to change their schedule to accommodate the CDL, playing on CDL servers might not have been an option, activision isn't the easiest company to work with. If the game wasn't shit and had regular LAN capabilities like every other game that wouldn't be an issue. The format does need a change for that much money it should always be double elimination.

To me it’s just a matchup issue all MW3. Faze accounts for Shotzzy which is why they had major success. Just like Optic had such an advantage over C9. And Ultra having Faze’s number. It’s a matchup thing is all but overall a good year but cannot wait for fresh maps and gameplay in BO6
This tournament was not great as a whole, but I am happy that someone wanted to try and put an event together so we didnt have to watch straight up online cod. I am sure that the EWC crew will only get better with time and learn from mistakes. Congrats to FaZe as well because they definitely needed this confidence boost the most going into BO6.

Toronto only has a confidence issue. Not a player issue. They had the best avg placements this year, which on paper makes them the most consistent team of MWIII You could see how scared they were playing 100T in the Karachi S&D. They need mental training more than a roster change. They completely owned Faze. Like a 3-0 against Faze at champs takes a god squad to pull off, and Ultra did it without even trying.
So now the esports world cup has the same values as cod champs just because of the price pool? In football there are lots of tournaments played in Saudi Arabia and Qatar but none of them will come even close to the champions league
Champs is like the NBA championship. The best players in the world play in the NBA, and it is the more important event (from an American perspective) and EWC is like the Olympics. I’m sure Lebron is happy with getting a gold medal, but we know he would have rather won the NBA championship.
As an OpTic fan, I love this group. But to only have a 30 minute flank after champs, I get that they had to hurry up at the venue and there was only one match but half of the show was about aches whining about OpTic hosting it. I think they should’ve waited and did the flank the next day or later on. EWC gets close to 2 hours for this event. Love the guys, have been watching for years but OpTic won champs, and across the board, people gave some credit to them but not near the coverage or respect they deserved.
I'm just glad this means faze will probably stick as a team. I'd love another year of draz drama, and faze creating a skill ceiling for their team because of their roster construction 😂

As an OpTic fan, I love this group. But to only have a 30 minute flank after champs, I get that they had to hurry up at the venue and there was only one match but half of the show was about aches whining about OpTic hosting it. I think they should’ve waited and did the flank the next day or later on. EWC gets close to 2 hours for this event. Love the guys, have been watching for years but OpTic won champs, and across the board, people gave some credit to them but not near the coverage or respect they deserved.
