Two of my favorites going at it here. Amazing match and I love at the end you can hear them talking about that run Corey had and Corey asking for advice. Shows the amount of respect these two have for each other and the game. Great shooting
Very high level that shows how important the break is : Corey gives 3 open tables to Skyler and Skyler allows Corey to back up to the score with 3 dry breaks in a row. And the shoot at 50:58 was just amazing !
8 ball is brutal because when you are playing any good player, if you make all your balls and miss the last one or the 8, your opponent is either going to run out, or hook you. I love when my opponent clears the table and misses at the end, leaving a beautiful wide open table
@@zizoumonk10 That was 10x crazier. I dont think a 4 railer to win a game in 8 ball is gonna happen again in a major tournament any time soon. The first shot of that run was that run was the craziest shot I've ever seen in my life.
Graceful of Corey to grant all the blacks but not sure he should have on the last. It's a long shot but for the game, you leave room for a miss I think.
You know what I would like to see… you commentators go play Corey after the match and be silent the whole time and see what the score is after 10 games.
It can be a sign of mutual respect between players to concede the 8 when playing instead of having their opponent waste time shooting it before moving on to the next rack.
As much as I love pool, having to listen to commentators will drive me away eventually. Even if they are knowledgeable, it irks my ass to hear them second guessing what a player is gonna do.
Great match! JJ and George - It's okay 1. to not talk 2. to not state the obvious 3. to take a position and live with it - right or wrong. It's pool players watching these matches. Your commentating is lacking. Anyone doing it better? Earl Strickland.
Hard to follow the commentary on a smaller screen with these stupid ball color changes. Was there something wrong with the traditional colors? We now have at least three color schemes I’m aware of. Has this done anything for pool other than make it more difficult to follow the action on a screen? Especially that one where the 4 if now pink which looks orange and the 5 is now purple. RIDICULOUS! Even professional player commentators get them confused. Why did they keep any the same? Why not just change them all? And then change them every year so some manufacturers can charge $1000 a set. That will make pool more exciting and fresh. Let’s confuse everyone. Colors should be standard for televised pro-level events. Leave the subtile pastels for the APA league matches. I’m surprised those that spend the money to televise these events didn’t have something to say about this.
That two rail by duel was a jaw dropper!!!
And that was only the 2nd best shot I've seen him hit.

came here to say that timestamp is incredible :)
The UFO landing drowned out the introduction.
dude that guy in the beginning has an amazing voice.
Bleep blerp bloop bleep
It's just that they couldn't get the copyright. He's the same guy who does the voiceovers for the Proactiv commercials.
Robot 🤖
That was Gilbert Gottfried

These rules make 8 ball my new favorite game. The bar rules were arbitrary.
Love the banter at the end
Great play by these two champions. JJ great as always.
This is one of my all time favorie matches
The little snippet of audio between the two players after the game at the very end of the video was more interesting than all of the commentary.
50:58 shot of the match, probably this whole tournament
beautiful shot
Reminds me of the Melling runout shot

miamiwax agreed I think the first shot was the most creative and technical
@@pjtyra2106 The imagination to even think that up blows my mind. Never ever seen a timing shot played during a pro tournament.
Corey is so cool!! Good game Skyler!!
I wish they would take that US Open sign off the rack so I can see
Why show the CC on the table? It blocks visually the playing of the game.
16:09 I don’t understand, wasn’t he supposed to finish by scoring the 8 ball?
Corey gave it to him
great match
What a match!
Commentators are? Buddy Hall and who is George?¿?
Can we get a like for this commentator!!! For real. The deeper voice guy!!! Forgot his name but I know he’s a former pro!

I agree, especially that last one for the match
i was wondering why they weren't sinking the 8.
@50:59 "He's two railing it" - What a shot!!
The commentators should have a top view screen
Jeremy Jones not Buddy Hall
You know what I would like to see… you commentators go play Corey after the match and be silent the whole time and see what the score is after 10 games.
Great commentary!
That was a transmission from tramalfador
Csi maju trusss ayo wottt
Corey and Skyler obviously go to the same barber.
Yes this is god damn hilarious. Good one
16:10 why did skyler not shoot the 8 in?

i guess, but there's always a chance they make a stupid mistake and miss it.@@TheTechAndScience

He put all his cards in one pumpkin...
Even the refs use voice tuning nowadays
I think 8ball on break no good is stupid it’s a tradition leave it alone
I like Jeremy as a commentator, but George talks too much

WHY IS MORRA PLAYING OPPOSITE HANDED?
I think he had some neck/upper spine issues from his cueing form.... he still breaks left handed, though.
He went from right hand player to left hand player. He has shoulder issue. He will break right handed and power shots right handed. Amazing.
Who is morra?
Erick Janes John Morra, professional pool player from Canada.
Camaro Man ah yes I meant he breaks right handed still

Watching pool is way better with out commentators
The pricey stopwatch ethnopharmacologically paddle because hydrant unsurprisingly excite to a yellow temperature. strange, merciful father
Well put
These “Pros” should be forced to play high or low balls as made on break not given choice . Way to easy to run rack with choice.
Too many flies in the ointment!!!
Hey! There's an ointment in my flies!
