- This video documents the process of designing, engineering, and building this massive moving sculpture. Complete with 104 3D Printed flowers, over 200 gears, and powered by 2 silently driven stepper motors, this project is one of my largest so far.

congratulations!! definitely the coolest and most creative backdrop I've seen at a wedding (I do catering for work). it's been mostly balloon backdrops or fake live walls this year. I'd lose my mind if I saw something like this at a wedding I was working lmao.
Thank you! That was my hopes- wanted to do something different :)
That's amazing! Congratulations on your marriage and props to you for replying to every little comment. Your channel has great maker content!
Thanks Cuberoni! Much appreciated :)
Congratulations! I got married in May and laser engraved 180 coasters starting 5 days before the wedding so I know your pain man. Congrats again
Haha you know all about that deferred stress!
great vid! fun seeing a more "vlog" style video with you and Jess, congrats again!
Thanks for watching brother! And thank you 👊👊👊👊👊👊
The front part is beautiful to watch for the girls, and the back for the boys
Man, if you put even half as much effort into your marriage as you put into this, you are set for life! I'm looking forward to seeing your one year anniversary project. Better get started on that, hey?
Thanks Dave! I hope so :) I think I’ll start it about a week and a half before, gotta stay living on the edge 😂
There is so much teachable stuff in here. How you make more parts and connect them for print ability, colours by using separate parts. The labor cost on doing that. The labor cost in doing all of it all, (and you are experienced in this territory so imagine what the viewer will struggle with. How good it looks in the end. I love your design style of white printing, it is now your brand and a smart way to work. How nothing works on the first go and how to adapt. Congratulations on the wedding and another stunning project.
Thank you! Appreciate it :)
I absolutely love the full version of the build! The results is absolutely stunning! Congrats again!
Thank you 😊 Turned out better than I could have imagined!
Congratulations on the successful union of both your marriage, and the many gear propelled flowers it took to make that amazing daisy chain sculpture! 🎉

First of all I would like to congratulate you and your wife! It was an amazing idea and you executed it perfectly. but second of all I can actually relate to this because I made a giant t rex skeleton for my friends birthday and I only had like 5 days to make a box for it. I really appreciate your work and you should continue posting videos.
Thanks Vlad! Appreciate it!
dear@@Engineezy, So I have everything set up on my channel online but I am not sure how to structure my videos, what camera gear to use or even how to write an engagable script! I want to share my projects with the world and leave a mark on this world somehow. What should I do?
Congrats! Also this is dope
Ji the man the myth the legend! Thanks brother 👊👊👊
Congrats dude!
Thank you 🍻🍻🍻
congrats!
Thanks Thomas!!
Congratulations on your marriage!
Thanks Xander 🙏👊
Lol...Something like that happened to me!!
I made a cement battery with copper mess and wire in an antique copper cilindrical container, the peculiar formula of compressed piezoelectric materials...It would run out of juice to run the 3 ,2.5 volt crystal blue LEDs as a center for the copper flowers...And it was a gift toy wife for mothers day...
Upon demonstration with everyone looking the thing...didn't lite up!!!
But I fixed it...And it will live as an example of how close we are to generate free clean perpetual energy one day... Cheers
Yoo this piece is soooo sickkkk it actually makes me want to figure out how all this works so i can recreate it for myself🙏😂💯
Thanks Nathan! Lots of gears 🤓
I’m so inspired right now.
🙌🙌🙌
i love your groom outfit! wish i could wear something chill like that haha
Haha! Had to do it my way :)
Ah yes, the hung over, trying to do something but just start wondering around... 😂
And then the hammering of the bearings... That had to be rough 😬
I am so happy for you King.
Thanks for the ongoing support BQ 👊👊
Awesome dude
🙏🙏
Such a lucky lady
When he isn’t gone for days in his hobbit hole full of filament and cameras
congratulation engineer!
Thank you!
That's how an engineering have a wedding, put your lifework for a moment of a lifetime
congratulations, dude
Haha very true! Thank you 🙏
Congrats. Your new name is now Daisy J
I’ll take it! Thank you 😊
Haha yes, "it's future Jays (or in my case, Justins) problem"
He always seems so capable than current you, doesn't he? Lol
Вот что она сказала!!! Джей, Майкл Скотт гордился бы тобой. Translation: That's what she said!!!!! Jey, Michel Scott would be proud of you !
I need to recreate this too for my wedding plz... I need to recreate it till january.. Live love love from india
When he said all i got to do is do. I was so waiting for him to start drinking a Mountain Dew lol.
Opportunity missed 🤣
God bless you.
🙏
Amazing! Love your design very much , I also joining the Engineezy Patreon! Do you mind share the files plz ?
Thanks Henry! I dont have files available for this project, maybe in the future!
So have all of the shorts and other vids where you show some of the first prototypes of the daisy chain all lead up to this?
Exactly 😀 those were all the ‘Prototypes’ that got me toward the final design
Dónde podría hallar el stl?
Nice project. Do you mind to share the files please?
I am building something similar for our classroom for our Dia De Los Muertos display. However, I am curious did you use 1/2 inch mdf of 3/4 and also what kind of motors did you use and do I need some kind of adjuster to adjust the speed.
Joseph sorry for the late reply! Hope you were able to figure it out!
i don’t have any paint patience either so if i can i try to hang my project
That makes sense!
My toxic trait is thinking i can do all this one night before the wedding😅
How I can buy one like this?
15:35
Just go here...
Hello. Please tell me what program do you use for modeling?
I use Solidworks!
"The plan is to have the DAISIES CHAINED together with gears"... Ha
🤭🤭
Congratulations 🎊
I love your work and I also make this project.
Can you share your cad file.
Thanks for support.
Thank you! Good luck with your project :)
STL AND ELECTRONIC STUFF AVAILABLE FOR DIY ?
Spent so much on filament, couldn't afford a tux.
Hi, Are the Daisy stl files for sale? couldnt find them on your website
These ones haven’t made it to the website yet! Hopefully soon haha
@@Engineezy Looking forward to it, thanks!
I wonder why u always use stepper motors, dc motors are useful too
Mainly because they can be run with silent drivers! Dc motors are much easier to use in a case like this.
You in stor mr best
2 posts for line, 3 posts for any shape because any shape is made out of triangles
Sums it up well!
Could you please sent the file of the flower design
One day I will make them available!
What was the cost for printing all that?
Objex sponsored the printing of the parts, but it would’ve been about $9 per daisy
what software are you using for all this design and assembly?
I use Solidworks!
🙏
Should have used a chain to drive the daisies, then it would be a daisy-chain sculpture.
Haha opportunity missed!
If all goes well me too "B weds B" am doing the same
3d prints everything.
Doesn't 3d print painters triangles for the cnc 'J'
Haha I know! Improved on that for the next version 😀
Wait a minute did you literally get married in a Hawaiian Daisy shirt some pants and flip flops?
I wish my wife was like yours.
That’s a really fucked up thing to say.
😂😂😂
couldnt the petals have interlocked and been the actual gear teeth
That was the original plan actually! But they would ultimately just end up locking in this configuration
Congrats. Hope best for you ❤️. But my god, u didn't even had a groomy haircut! What is that u wearing? My eyes 👀 pop. Hilarious 😀
Why such complicated motor? Why not just a DC motor with a attached reducer?
So I can run the whole thing with a silent driver and get no gear vibration noises!
Lol, not sure if he is gonna reply
Better late than never 😬😬
