People want to see topspin rallies. Yknow what ruins this? it's the service in this game. They should implement new service rules so that there's more topspin rallies. One example would be to create a distance for the server so that services will have lesser spin hence commencing into topspin rallies. More longer rallies is what this game needs and not the 3rd ball attacks which makes the game shorter.
Terrible idea I think. This would make rallies extremely difficult for the server as it would make the serve extremely predictable and the server would barely be able to prepare for the third ball receive. Probably will also result in more rallies where the server is forced to fish and lift balls while the receiver smashes. Also, having topspin rallies alone would firstly, make table tennis extremely dull imo, second, take a huge amount of complexity away from the game and third, be extremely physically demanding, which means that probably by the time they reach the 4th or 5th game, there would be a noticeable drop in shot quality. There are probably some other things I couldn’t think about but this is my opinion on this.
So less spin = more entertaining table tennis
