I've previously covered an early version of Nightmare Zapping that was set in a different town (Canela Town). The dev has since expanded it into a full game which contains two different chapters set in two different towns (Canela Town and Laurel Town). Each chapter is fairly standalone, so it's not necessary to have played through the Canela Town chapter before this one. But I've included a link to the Canela Town chapter at the end of the video. Happy channel surfing! :)
So I think the story of the Rabbit ties into the monsters backstory. Tabit was faithful to Bucket, despite everyone around her believing otherwise. The monster is taken aback by the priests display of trust in God because it sees itself in him. It respects him, in a way, and actually gives the priest a chance to prove whether his faith will result in anything. I think that's an interesting piece of characterisation. So here's what I believe the monsters true origin actually is: Tabit (could be short for Tabitha) fell in love with a young man who potentially might've been considered an outcast in society. For whatever reason, everyone in the community has it out for this guy. They sabotage his relationship with her, and he responds about as well as Bucket does. She takes her own life shortly thereafter. But she doesn't stay dead, and essentially slaughters the entire community. Tabitha now exists as a monster, a ghostly husk who targets those whom are happy and innocent in a twisted sense of revenge for Bucket. She destroys Canela Town, and burns herself out. The Manifestation subsides, and she ends up as an old lady, she then waits until Ricardo shows up, and this game begins.
I LOVED TABBIT AND BUCKET STORY I REALLY FELT FOR THOSE TWO (I'M SO MAD BY TABBIT AND BUCKET'S ENDING THAT I'M TYPING IN CAPS LOCK AND ALSO IT'S BROKEN TOO)
I liked the Tabbit and bucket story too. I wonder if its also the story of the monster. Not 1for 1 but related. Poor bun n snowman. people couldnt let em be happy for a while.
I had this happen to me twice. I was the bullied weird quiet artistic kid to whom the prettiest girl in the class showed interest. And man did my classmates do everything to break us apart, to convince her she can do better, contonue to movk the fact that I expressed my feelings for her. Her friends told the contents of a private message to all my former bullies that I had to pass on my way back from a school I went to escape from them. Then the same happened in college. I had a sort of diary on my deviantart profile pic where I cryptically mentioned my crush. One acquaintance asked to see the gallery, stumbled upon it, then blabbered to the entire school. Had to endure jokes and remarks while passing people like "is this the infatuated one"?
@@AlphaBetaGamer oh definitely. That monster is cruel. The pettiest would be the time it tormented a priest for his faith. No sweet dreams. Just a cruel vision to settle a religious grudge.
"Nevermind Bully, we just hope the wig makes it safe and sound back to us. It has been in our family for generations. You can saynit is a HEIR to our family traditions".
I'm kinda divided about this one. I like the concept and the art direction (reminds me of Lily's Well and House of Salazar). There were some standout moments like the story of the priest and Tabbit but overall, this game is just mean-spirited, bleak and nihilistic. There was really nothing to hope or root for. The monster is a one-dimensional prick that needs to get its ass whopped for real. I don't even get how it operates. Why does it need the kid to lure people into the house when it apparently can be everywhere all at once?
This is comically edgy, that last segment with the animals eating each other was so overboard I couldn't take it seriously anymore. I hate to bash on indie developers like this, but I guess I'm sick of this trope of cutesy characters gore.
I hate to bash the dev given the effort put into the game but it's a typical invincible-horror crap that I just can't stand. Instead of horror I just get irritated; there's no nuance or anything clever about the creature.
@@minxywaters1767 - I don't have to. Good horror games already exist, such as Lone Survivor, Doki Doki Literature club, Silent Hill 1-3, Neverending Nightmares, list goes on.

Your channel is a national treasure.
It really is man, so many cool little indie games that never would've gotten half the recognition if it weren't for ABG's showcases

You're welcome! It's a fantastic game. It's a very clever bit of storytelling. Awesome work! :)
Your game is such a gem. Buen trabajo. 🥰

really enjoyed this funky little game and looking forward to seeing what this talented and ambitious dev puts out in the future!
There's a secret ABG channel in the game? Sweet!
Sooo, when we getting the SCP Foundation and GOC to gang up on whatever kind of monster that was?
Why 127?
Also, as someone who has lost someone he truly loved to absolute bs, I stand with tabbit...
Not sure why 127, but I'm delighted about that little Easter egg!
Yeah, poor Tabbit and Bucket. I loved that story.

First letter of the alphabet is A, B is 2nd and G is 7th, so ABG - 127
I'm not very receptive to horror games in general. But man weird games like this always get me.
super cool! feel bad for tabbit tho…
Yeah, yeah I loved the Tabbit story. It got surprisingly brutal and quite poignant. Poor little Bucket too!
I love your channel soooo much! You find the most unique and interesting games! Don’t stop doing what you’re doing! ❤
My favorite part in this game is when bucket says,
"hey SirCooks!"
"Don't call me that, my name is SirCooksalot!"😂
Hope someday, the monster can be defeated.
Yeah, that monster's a real A-hole! Needs to be taken down a peg or two! :)
Wasnt it completely overwhelmed in the original one?
@@AlphaBetaGamer oh definitely. That monster is cruel.

29:27 I didn't know bully haircuts could be inherited from your parents...
It's one wig that the family shares. :)
"Nevermind Bully, we just hope the wig makes it safe and sound back to us. It has been in our family for generations. You can saynit is a HEIR to our family traditions".
I watch the whole thing. This game breaks the traditional mold of horror storytelling. 😍
So, uh... Is Tabbit an allegorical character for the monster, or is it just me?
I was wondering the exact same thing.
Hopefully whatever next game the dev works on has answers.
Thanks for playing NZ!!!! I’m one of the people who dies in the movies 😂

LOVE THIS
Oh the guy is spurting tentacles out of his face? What a weird joke.
41:27 Really? Not even a "nice"?
Yanny Town, huh?
It's a pretty good game. I prefer part 1 more. I wanted more blood, gore, & spooky stuff
Maybe I’m just stupid but I genuinely don’t understand the story of this game.
Parasite eating as many people as possible. You just see many different stories of many different lives.
