Bore scope comparison of a Taipan Veteran CZ Barrel and an Airgun Heaven slug barrel.

- Quick video of a bore scope looking through both .22 barrels. The CZ barrel has 12 lands/grooves and a twist rate of 1:17.7 inches. The slug barrel has 8 lands/grooves and a twist rate of 1:15 inches.
The CZ barrel looks virtually flawless and shoots accordingly. The slug barrel is not as refined as can be seen by the small scratches and pits throughout the barrel. I think this is why CZ barrels are so sought after on airguns!
Good job! I have a Taipan veteran long .25, the barrel has the same TR, 550mm but LW with shock. What is bore scope? Can you give me a little more information about it? Any impressions on this slugs barrel? I see that this new barrel is faster, is that better, because according to some it should be a slower barrel?

The new barrel is faster which should (in theory) be better for slugs because the spin on the slug will be faster and help it stabilize. For example: The faster twist rate will spin the slug at 890 fps the same as the slower barrel will at 1050 fps. Hopefully, I'll get the stability of the fast speed but at a velocity my gun will like. Hi , so the taipan veteran made in chek republic 177 caliber is a lothar walther or a cz barrel ?? How do you know for sure ? Thanks .
I don't know for certain. I believe all the .177 barrels are lothar walter and all the new .22 barrels are CZ. All the original .22 Veteran barrels were CZ, but for a short time they swtiched to Lothar Walter. I'm pretty sure they went back to using CZ for the .22 after customers complained. Again, I don't know that for certain though.
