Probably the best ball review I’ve ever seen. I will watch more from you guys. Loved the tri-comparison and showing it on 2 different patterns. This really gives us great insight into each balls strengths and weaknesses
Really depends on what pattern I'm bowling on for tournament or my sport shot league, but just for the sake of conversation, I generally earlier in the set on the fresh play straighter with my hand up the back and faster speed with a solid coverstock, but once the lanes start to transition and force me to move left, I switch to something pearlized, get my hand around it more and ease up on the speed a tad. Late in the block when the lanes are really torched, causing my ball to hook early and I'm as far left as I can be, I'll switch to my lowest hook potential pearl ball and pick the speed back up. I've had pretty good success following this game plan over the years.
Out of all the ball video's-you guy's have the absolute best. 1. The way you will compare the featured ball against other balls in it's class. 2. The different oil patterns that you will throw them on. 3. And lastly throwing them at different ball speeds. YOU GUY'S ARE THE BEST!!!
I definitely like playing straighter but I’m working on trying to hook the lane more because I know there will be times when I need to do that… but straighter is greater for me 95% of the time
For me I’m normally playing really straight around 5-10 because I’m a one hander with middle to a low rev rate but I love hooking the lane when the conditions are right
Love that the UFO Alert has the same cover as the Idol Synergy. The Synergy is one of my go to balls now, and having an asym compliment will be nice. Keep up the great work guys! Cheers from Dallas!
I like to play straighter if the lanes will allow, but it's fun like you say to hook the whole lane. It's been fun watching you demo the UFO Alert and the Incite among others. It looks like Roto Grip is introducing several new balls. Keep 'em coming...
Like playing left and hooking, but whatever strikes. Growing up in bowling on wood. Tossed it to the 1 board from anywhere 1970’s. &80’s. Turned 60, now the balls do all the work. Love your videos and explaining how and why on ball motion for ball comparison 😎💪🎳
I definitely embody a straighter, low rev game like Norm Duke and Brian Voss. I think like most people, I wish I could get more revs, but the straight game hasn’t really failed me.
I prefer go straight down but most of the time is the beat up lane or sometimes the alley changes the lane pattern so end up playing up to half in lane bend max.
Another great video. I really wish I lived by you guys just so I can join all of you in league cuz I know its all about having fon, a lot of laughs and good times. Btw, I noticed your video was on my birthday, June 24. :)
I just picked up a ufo and alert (used) from a local pro shop. I’m very excited to add these to my arsenal. I’ve been using the Electrify Solid at my local house, and I need something more powerful…hoping these do the trick for those big bendy shots
Informative video. Thank you. It would be interesting to see another video where you compare the RSTX-1 with the UFO Alert, with both balls having exact same surface prep (some shine).
super easy to see if i miss my mark early if i play straight up the lane with my weaker balls going 2 handed. If everyone is playing the same line though, I like to open up the angles so I don't have to start moving left as much and as fast.
Since i only average about 250-300 rpm and still hitting the ball to much up the side, i usually try to stay more straight to blend out my lazy hand. Not afraid to move in if needed, just not as confident.
It depends, if I can play straight that’s most ideal for my style. But if I have the right conditions in order to bend it I will as well, but I’d rather keep my angles as tight as possible.
Two questions: (1) what is your surface prep on the RST-X-1 you mentioned? (2) At the end you mentioned the Axiom Pearl / Dark Code, to clarify were you saying the ^ complement the RST-X-1, UFO Alert? I may have missed something. BTW your team rocks the SPI reviews!!!
I suspect that you are taking the same sound clip and applying it to every strike ;) I could be wrong but it does sound that way. Sounds awesome by the way
Got one of these sitting in the drill for tomorrow, only had it been there Sunday. Zen was way too much Rubicon rolling out uc2 had grip issues this would have been perfect after the rxt after semis. In the damn final match could not get the Rubicon to turn enough and no other options... had never been in that deep prior. This should take care of this if I can only drill up little talent with it 😆 Ended up a 2nd place in my second ever tournament though:)
Holy crap this thing trucks thru deeper than ever played once again. Made me look like I had decent rev rate:) lofted 5th arrow to 5 and split 89... damn
I like to bend it and work the entire lane if I can. I just like the motion of the ball. I have the x-1 and was thinking about the Alert. I hear rotogrip will be releasing the x-2 later this year so I will hold off for now
I prefer straighter if forced to answer, but it's whatever I need to do, really. There's one lane in my center where I'm playing 25-8 (feet-target), and another lane close by barely hooks and I have to play 15-10. The inconsistency is something else.
Hey like the new intro with the blue portal, but it's a little too much like JR Raymond intro on his channel and your both JR. Lol. unless.......but really love watching the channel I learn a lot.

Your videos are very instructive with how to play lanes with the balls you demonstrate. Keep up great job!
Depends on the lane conditions, but I prefer to bend the whole lane; left foot on 37, shoot for 20 and break in around 7. I'm a rev dominant player, no crazy speed here.

Now I just see as I’m writing this another release RST-V2

I your opinion will these work well together or will ufo alert and solid rubicon be too much overlap?
I like to bend it, but if needed to I can play straight up. The ball looks really great and I like the color combinations. Where would it fit with the UC2 and RST??
With how rolly the UFO is, I am shocked at how much this UFO Alert can bend. Fantastic video! Just out of curiosity, what's the layout of this ball? Also, do we know Jungo's stats (revs, PAP, tilt, rotation)?

That's literally me, I have 4 balls, a sym pearl, asym pearl, sym solid and asym solid to use when playing between 5 and 10 board, occasionally going out to 15
Being a no thumb bowler tom Daugherty style ive never thrown an asym and have been interested. Any recommendations for a good 1st asym ball to try and or just avoid using asym's at all?
Definitely need an asym in your bag. Would suggest a rubicon as it's not a high end ball just upper mid, so you'll get the asym shape without that massive amount of hook
@@jrproshop Here's my arsenal so far. Vip affliction, phaze 2, IQ tour nano pearl, purple hammer, radical squatch, Brunswick rhino, tzone spare ball. No preference between straight or hooking it, just depends on where the lanes are most forgiving
This is one of my favorite ball review videos ever
As a rev challenged lefty I played a down and in outside line and take my inspiration from Parker Bohn III
Parker is amazing, both live and on tv. Crossed with and next to him in pba 50 . His footwork and swing path are fantastic
same here.
Not only great ball review videos but also the best music!!

I plant my feet inside of 4th arrow. For being a two hander it’s odd but really works.
I don't have straight up the boards as a comfortable part of my game so I tend to lean towards playing inside of the lane.
Informative video. Thank you.

I used to bowl with wide hooks. Now I bowl with that narrow sniper-like hook. I think the Alert would be the best one for me.
I feel morw accurate when I forced to play closer to the gutter. I'd say I prefer straighter, but occasionally I do enjoy playing out

I perfer hooking the lane, but at 250 revs thats kinda hard, so I'm usually right of 15
I like Walter Ray style straight up the right 5board

I can play straight, but I prefer to be on the inside part of the lane. Sometimes I have troubles squaring my shoulders to play straighter.
What similarities and differences do you see between the UFO Alert and UC2 and why would you use one over the other?
Alert hooks more and more continuous, it's a high end ball vs an upper mid

yep pretty darn close
