    A man of no name, but with many faces,
    Travelled this world and other places,
    Weaving a web, spinning a story,
    Creating his legend in unstoppable glory.
    This nameless man you will have seen,
    In the deep dark midnight of your dream,
    His whispers carry far on the wind,
    They heal the weary and the sinned.
    So close your eyes and wait a while,
    And when sleep visits with a smile,
    His shadow walks alongside your own,
    And the mists of time will carry you home.
    When the moon is in her final slumber,
    And mountains roll with distant thunder,
    Awake you will, the dream but gone,
    Just the faintest memory of his song.
    Who is this man, with all these faces,
    Who lives in memories and other places,
    The man who plays this dreamers game,
    Call him Wolfborn, for that's his name.

    Once upon a time,
    A village
    which habitants were living in prosperity..
    A curse fell upon them suddenly, crashing their dreams, awakening their fears, playing with their sanity..
    The night came, the moon sparkeled in its full glory.
    A woman layed her body under a tree, raised her head to the starry sky.
    With her face kissing the moon light, she screamed.
    A little scream came as a responce. HE was born.
    His wolf spirit was released. He stared at his mom with his moon eyes. She smiled dearly at him for she knew...He was the hero, the wolf born !

      was Gerald born from wolf?I don't think so... nothing like that in his novels...I think he underwent the trial of grasses to become a witcher...

    • @TOT777SOS
      @TOT777SOS 8 лет назад +19

      Nobody here suggested that Geralt was born from a wolf. He was called The White Wolf because he lost pigmentation (hair color, skin became pale ...) because of the trial of grasses. And was called a wolf, because he comes from the School of the Wolf, a witcher school. He also due to the extra experiments they did to him had a slit iris, something like a wolfish eye, in the games they made all witchers have this feature.
      So yeah, Geralt metaphorically speaking, is a wolfborn as he was not like all other witchers taken when they are 6 or older years old to the fortress in Kear Morhen, Geralt was dropped there since he was an infant. His mom abandoned him, in hopes of becoming a sorceress as he was kind of a rare mistake where sorceresses shouldn't conceive a child in the first place let alone giving birth to a normal one. Visemer (Geralt's mentor and kind of like his father) picked him up and took great care of him since he knew him basically since birth.

  • @Grebree
    @Grebree 9 лет назад +13

    I forget how deep instrumentals can be, sometimes, and I was just reminded. How does one even manage to make a piece so sinister and ominous yet peaceful and determined at the same time? Its the very definition of bravery, the true nature of being a warrior ready for battle both physically and mentally. The Serenity of the piece seems to represent his acceptance of the possibility of death, which is then countered by the determination saturating atmosphere. Determination that both dismisses and accepts death as inevitable. Then there are the ominous undertones haunting this "wolfborn" character as the music progresses that drench the heart in a deep blue ink of heavy sadness, but the good kind of sadness that allows all love of material possessions to float away, taking the burdens of worry and stress with it. idk tho

    Beautiful track! And I absolutely love The Witcher and your music so seeing the two combined was awesome. It fits so well for Geralt of Rivia too. Keep up the amazing work!

    Epic, I read your commentary of how you wanted it to be a song inspired by witcher it is really cool that you didn't want to have a misleading name. You did a magnificent work. The track is beautiful. It feals as if you are telling a story.
    I personally liked the part where you went from light to heavy tone. But not just the moment you did it. The part from 3:30 to around 4:30 is so great. Then if shifts again as if the story was changing the pace and resumed heavy action later on. Loving IT!!!!

    What i really love about your music is the use of vocals, it makes the song that much better when i hear a powerful voice behind the music. I trullu adore your work and would love to see more songs like Song of the North, strings used in this songs are an amazing touch and add to that unique Witcher feel. Amazing work as always !!

      Hey you're the ones calling each other wolves, how did I get accused of biting? Is it because of the bear picture, and the subspecies of bear that's my username? Cause I only happen to think bears are cool, not purporting to be a freaking reincarnation of one. Do that in a private circle jerk and I'm all for it. Do that in a public domain and you are bound to get flamed.

    • @alphakodiak16
      @alphakodiak16 7 лет назад

      You don't get to decide for me whether I get to flame someone I deem an idiot, that's my prerogative. It's your prerogative to depreciate that to your heart's content, toots. Lol, I am not worried. In fact, I'm rather bored with how no one can take a verbal strike even over the internet anymore.

    Hello silence, I've come to greet you again
    In a world full of demons and angels, this time you are the only one I trust.
    Monsters hidden under flesh, angels crying for a friend.
    I never know now, who I should let in.
    The shadows are my new friend.
    Keeping my soul locked within, never to let out again
    And if I ever feel the flame ignite again.
    I will do my best to resist the chance, of another painful end.
    This time I welcome the darkness.
    To protect me from the light.
    So that I may never have the chance again, to see another beautiful lie.
