We just got ours yesterday and we were practicing with it. You get what you pay for. We bought it for 10.00 USD on TEMU. It flies great. We couldn’t connect the drone to the app at all. It wasn’t visible on my phone- so couldn’t connect. We did install the blade guards and one snapped straight away on the first minor crash. The plastic is really thin and cheap. I’m going to try to superglue it back together. We weren’t expecting much but at least we can use it to practice before we decide to buy a better one
It is possible that the drone was set on a wifi channel not allowed in your country, try restarting the drone until you will find its wifi network on your phone wifi. The explanation is simple, phone is more regulated than this cheap drone, so it chooses any wifi channel (try to see if your laptop wifi see the drone's wifi for example)
Temu supply a knockoff E99, its not the genuine article. If it says "Made in China" on the bottom, it's a fake. Amazon supply genuine E99s, here in UK.
I'm glad you picked up this one as well Dave. It's a great flyer and the price is unbeatable. Just have to be realistic with your expectations about the camera.
I recently ordered on of these from AliExpress for the ridiculous price of 0.94p and was very dubious. But, what the hell, it's less than a quid, let's see what happens. Two weeks later, the drone arrived and I was surprised that everything was in the box. Only one battery but, again, less than a pound. Camera isn't brilliant, but it'll do for what I need. Took it for a quick fly and it flies well. Only got about seven minutes flight time out of the battery but(again!)less than a pound. Ordered some spare batteries, so, all-in-all, 94p well spent...Now, all I have to do is learn to fly it...🏴😁🏴
I purchased a couple of these e99s a few years ago for a similar price. They are great for learning as you actually have to fly them manually. Thanks for the review.
Hi, just bought one of these from Temu. The blurb said that it has "Three-sided intelligent obstacle avoidance". Anyone knows how to turn this on? Thanks
@@robertandjulie turn drone on first, then go into your phones wifi settings and connect to the drones wifi when it's visible on the wifi list, then open up the app.
I've tried various orders of operation: drone-->connect-->app, drone-->app-->connect, app-->drone-->connect and the result is always the same: my phone detects and connects to the drone's network, but in the app says "connect the device, please." any advice?
I have an E99 and a more expensive drone, with GPS and a 4K camera. The E99 is more fun to fly, it's a challenge. With GPS navigation, you can put your controller down and your drone will hover by itself. The E99s best trick is the Buzz, when you Flip N roll it around. Those big, heavy drones, just can't handle that.
Hey guys... I just got my E99 and I ran into a problem. I can't get my lithium batteries to charge. I'm using the li po usb cables it came with. When I plug it in, the red light comes on for less than a minute. And when I leave it to charge for an hour or two, the battery is still not charged when plugged into the drone, whose lights are blinking with low battery signal. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your input...
@@Hazeblade-pp9lz Thanks for responding. It seems that the drone lithium batteries are very light weight and fragile. They seem to require a low watt USB charger. I found an old one and the batteries were able to charge...
Sounds like a faulty battery. Did you only get one, or can you try another battery? If it happened again where it shut off after take off with multiple batteries tested then it would be a faulty control board on the drone
Hey! Excellent review! Just ordered one myself with only one camera but do you know if this has an sd slot for saving videos or pictures on and where is the slot located on the drone thanks!
I have the same drone also purchased from temu, my issue is the app, I don't know which app is the one for this E99 Pro drone. There's a bunch that show up and none connect. If anyone knows the app name please let me know. The main reason I purchased this drone was because of the cameras. Thank you in advance. *NOTE: MY DRONE NEVER CAME WITH THE SECOND LEAFLET WITH THE APP INFO*
Nice review! I have to say your E99 drone video looks actually pretty good (but still only 30 or 40 deg angle camera, not 120 deg). I bought my E99 drone with dual 4K camera for only $10 USD including taxes/ shipping. It flies fine, but I can't seem to get the video to work. I installed "RC UFO" software (android), but it always crashes when I connect to drone wifi and start the software. Ok I found another software "BJ UFO" software that can show drone camera. It' awful - even 240p would be higher resolution than my drone's "4K" camera. I guess there was a reason why my drone cost only $10 for dual "4K" camera. LOL
I've tried almost all the available apps, and none could record video, until I saw your comment. I tried BJ UFO and it worked great! Thank you stranger of the internet 😅
