One player is a team player and it shows in the stats. Clark's mind is fast and there probably is NOT another player on the team that processes as fast as Clark. She knows where the players are and she throws the ball to the one she sees as clear. The player that she throws to cannot process that the ball is headed her way with great speed. It is because they have been allowed to go brain dead without a thought to the moment. To be in the moment can only be taught on the floor with several people all throwing at once. This practice makes them to react not to stay in the processing mode. Clark's turnovers are their fault not hers. Be in the moment! Act.. don't think! Poor coaching of players to get them out of this "processing instead of reacting" is seen here every game! Don't watch the game films that gets you no where .. those plays are gone. Probably thee most Important Job in how a Coach is able to utilize each of every player’s talents as in a game of chess. Great coaches are Very Rare, In All Sports from Boxing to Gymnastics and the team sports which have passing, running, hitting, offensive, defensive coaching objectives. The number of coaches who have been in place when a great player was went through their career is sadly not small.

I think Caitlin should offer to go to Europe too. How she's been treated is NOT the usual "rookie hazing", it's self-destructive, stupid and possibly racist. The refs don't even give her fair calls, and the league doesn't seem to be able to tell the refs what to do. Her coach seems to be incapable of telling the Fever players what to do, leaving Clark in a messy, unstructured "offense" that doesn't use CC's talents. The team also doesn't stand up for Clark when she's had to face blatant hostility and cheap shots. The roster decisions are inexplicable. How Caitlin has held her composure so far is way beyond me.

No it really isn’t that simple. Right now Clark is the third best player ON HER OWN TEAM. She is very inefficient from 3 point range and she is a turn over machine. Shooting 40 foot 3’s is not the way you win championships. If it was then Caitlin Clark would have a Championship but she doesn’t.
The coach talked like equal rights for all players. Her talks like this are ground for expedient firing. Nobody would like to see a game that's one team is not aiming for winning first. Nobody in her team would want the team not to put out all efforts to win the game. You would not see any coach behave like her in any pro games. WNBA is not a real pro sports organization because of this idiot coach. Another reason people do not treat WNBA seriously is the salary of the players and coaches is too low. This problem is addressed well for the players but not the coaches. I believe the quality of coaches is low due to improper compensation. If this issue is properly addressed, the games would be much more watchable.

Some of the turnovers are caused by her teammates not expecting her passes, and others are because she may assume her teammate would be in a certain position and they aren't. They're still adjusting to each others' games, and she's still learning the game at the pro level...but familiarity and trust will lead to fewer turnovers and more efficient passing once they fully gel together as a team. That takes time, there's no other way around it.
When Bluder or Jensen are mentioned it reminds me of the great article ESPN Wright Johnson did on Clark in March: "A great team multiplies her. A bad team diminishes her. The trust her coaches ask her to have in her teammates, especially new ones, comes with great personal risk. Believing in her coaches requires faith and courage. Michael 'Air' Jordan had the exact same problem and it was remedied when the coach was replaced with the great Phil Jackson and the rest is history. Maybe all the drama is why women’s sports are not really popular. I’ve been trying to watch and support the WNBA and the play itself is ok to watch…the hate and whining honestly makes me want to just stick to men’s games only. The WNBA has a chance to get eyes on this failing league. The minute Clark announced her plans to join a lot of the other league players started attacking her. It's pretty obvious to a Father of two lady Basketball Stars, one them All-State in California - Sides coaching is just plain bad. Clark feeds perfect inside passes - half of them are missed - and inside the paint at that. Management should bench Sides now. Clark is a Franchise player - let her play - keep the coaches out of the way - and teach your players to expect the "no-look" pass - do this and the fever won't lose another game. Keep Sides coaching and the season is a wash - How the hell do the Fever owners not get this...??? Seriously..!!! Is this a business or a sorority with jealous coaches.. Same thing happened to my husband. He was a playmaker guard in the finest sense. One coach let him run the offense and he was a star. The next coach wouldn’t even start him, preferring to egg the fans to go nuts when he finally put him in the game about 5 min in. It was very frustrating for him to be squelched by the coach for years. A player shouldn’t have to fight the coach as well as the other team. Caitlyn does all the things my husband did, but he played in the late 1950s and 1961. No one is doing anything now he wasn’t already doing back then. He created lots of moves, like behind the back passes, and no look passes. And he scored from well beyond the 3 pt line, even tho there was no 3 pt shot back then. Think 40-60 pts per game with no 3 pt shot yet.
Imagine if Steve Kerr were her coach?! Need a shooters coach. Or go basic and run that motion offense cuz this ain’t the NBA where we clear out for one player.
Unless Indiana replaces the GM old man river and the coach Christie loves donuts, Sides the next 4 years will be a disaster. As far as being traded, there is no way Indiana would agree to trade. The simplest and easiest way for Clark to go is to buy out her WNBA contract. It's literally only 300-350k in total, so trust me, it's not an issue. If Indiana tries to sue for breach of contract, just counter sue for creating a hostile work environment, etc. If the WNBA does not allow Caitlin Clark to terminate the contract and move to another club, then sue the WNBA. Caitlin could walk into a 5m plus percentage deal for the Big 3. But honestly, there is a real possibility they expand it to a 5 a side format. Trust me, no joke, there is no way her representatives let her stay at Indiana past this year. 😂❤ Even better, the collective bargaining agreement is voluntary it's not mandatory. So her payscale doesn't have to adhere to the WNBA's arbitrary percentage allocation 😂❤
Caitlin just has to say "Well, that didn't work. I'm not playing out my contract." That puts the ball in the Fevers' court. They can release her, or seek to get some compensation from a Euro team (not at all sure what arrangements the leagues have for such cases). No its not that simple. If they fire Sides, they still have to pay her $500K a year till the end of her contract. You think ownership wants to pay for another head coach that will ask for big bucks to deal with the madness surrounding CC? Why should ownership care? They are selling out every game. Thats all they care about.
No it really isn’t that simple. Right now Clark is the third best player ON HER OWN TEAM. She is very inefficient from 3 point range and she is a turn over machine. Shooting 40 foot 3’s is not the way you win championships. If it was then Caitlin Clark would have a Championship but she doesn’t.
The coach talked like equal rights for all players. Her talks like this are ground for expedient firing. Nobody would like to see a game that's one team is not aiming for winning first. Nobody in her team would want the team not to put out all efforts to win the game. You would not see any coach behave like her in any pro games. WNBA is not a real pro sports organization because of this idiot coach. Another reason people do not treat WNBA seriously is the salary of the players and coaches is too low. This problem is addressed well for the players but not the coaches. I believe the quality of coaches is low due to improper compensation. If this issue is properly addressed, the games would be much more watchable.
@@kevinallies1014 Tell that to Steph Curry....he has 4 NBA Championships, and he has built his career by shooting from deep lol. There's also more to Caitlin's game than shooting threes. Some of the turnovers are caused by her teammates not expecting her passes, and others are because she may assume her teammate would be in a certain position and they aren't. They're still adjusting to each others' games, and she's still learning the game at the pro level...but familiarity and trust will lead to fewer turnovers and more efficient passing once they fully gel together as a team. That takes time, there's no other way around it.
When Bluder or Jensen are mentioned it reminds me of the great article ESPN Wright Johnson did on Clark in March: "A great team multiplies her. A bad team diminishes her. The trust her coaches ask her to have in her teammates, especially new ones, comes with great personal risk. Believing in her coaches requires faith and courage. For their part, the Iowa coaches know that they are holding a rare diamond and are constantly reminding themselves their job is to polish, not to ask her to cut to their precise specifications."

Don’t forget that it is the weakest/most under-performing team in the league. That is how their coach got first pick…. and obviously chose Caitlyn immediately. Unfortunately, one superb player can’t rectify all that is wrong with the team and its coaching.

Can CC go to another team who would love to have her talent next season? Wheeler is traitor, with Mitchell they’re barely top bench players. Wallace can’t even follow through with easy layups. Samuelson doesn’t get enough playing as well ass Hall. The only player truly worthy of CC’s talent is Boston but hell it takes 5 players not two. That whole coaching staff needs to be replaced. This isn’t the 1970s

Michael 'Air' Jordan had the exact same problem and it was remedied when the coach was replaced with the great Phil Jackson and the rest is history. I would like to see the college coach with the unbeaten record and lost to Iowa & Clark, take over the reigns of the Indiana Fever. The woman on the AFLACK commercial talking about closing that gap... LOL She knows how to utilize a talent like Clark.

Maybe all the drama is why women’s sports are not really popular. I’ve been trying to watch and support the WNBA and the play itself is ok to watch…the hate and whining honestly makes me want to just stick to men’s games only. The league is finally getting some attention and they still want to just butch and whine.
I've given the WNBA a try, first time in years. And I'm done with it. Ugly jealousy, racism, players trying (unsuccessfully) to be men by playing dirty, incompetent coaching and officiating. Yeah, it's been interesting seeing Caitlin play, she is special as advertised.
But I'm never going to watch these petty, racist, mannish women play a game they seem to think is secondary to their mean girls drama.

The WNBA has a chance to get eyes on this failing league. The minute Clark announced her plans to join a lot of the other league players started attacking her. It's at a point now where most fans are only interested in watching Caitlin's games only.

It's pretty obvious to a Father of two lady Basketball Stars, one them All-State in California - Sides coaching is just plain bad. Clark feeds perfect inside passes - half of them are missed - and inside the paint at that. Management should bench Sides now. Clark is a Franchise player - let her play - keep the coaches out of the way - and teach your players to expect the "no-look" pass - do this and the fever won't lose another game. Keep Sides coaching and the season is a wash - How the hell do the Fever owners not get this...??? Seriously..!!! Is this a business or a sorority with jealous coaches.. Unleash Clark - go to the playoffs - otherwise nothing.
Sides has been an assistant coach. The Fever really need an experienced coach with more experience .
Same thing happened to my husband. He was a playmaker guard in the finest sense. One coach let him run the offense and he was a star. The next coach wouldn’t even start him, preferring to egg the fans to go nuts when he finally put him in the game about 5 min in. It was very frustrating for him to be squelched by the coach for years. A player shouldn’t have to fight the coach as well as the other team. Caitlyn does all the things my husband did, but he played in the late 1950s and 1961. No one is doing anything now he wasn’t already doing back then. He created lots of moves, like behind the back passes, and no look passes. And he scored from well beyond the 3 pt line, even tho there was no 3 pt shot back then. Think 40-60 pts per game with no 3 pt shot yet.

As far as being traded, there is no way Indiana would agree to trade. The simplest and easiest way for Clark to go is to buy out her WNBA contract.
It's literally only 300-350k in total, so trust me, it's not an issue. If Indiana tries to sue for breach of contract, just counter sue for creating a hostile work environment, etc.
If the WNBA does not allow Caitlin Clark to terminate the contract and move to another club, then sue the WNBA.
Caitlin could walk into a 5m plus percentage deal for the Big 3. But honestly, there is a real possibility they expand it to a 5 a side format.
