If you’re lucky enough to have siblings, I hope this video makes you reflect on how lucky we are to have them!! You don’t get to choose your siblings, but you do get to choose to be friends 😌 lots of love to u all
Yeah 😆, I've got 4 siblings (all sisters so im the only boy), older sister is 18, and 3 youngers who are 6 , 4 and 1 (I'm 16 myself). So glad I'm not an only child, life would be so boring.
Yours and Folk’s relationship is so precious and it’s crazy how much it reminds me of mine and my brothers, folk and my brother have such similar mannerisms sometimes I feel like I’m watching him! 😂 thank you for reminding me to treasure that relationship because there’s truly nothing like a sibling bond 🤍
I watched the video with my boyfriend and both of us had to laugh so hard because nothing captures German life more than sprinting to the supermarket on Saturday evening 😂
I used to travel with my brother. We were always friends his entire life. Sadly he died 5 years ago. I miss my best friend! Enjoy this time with your brother. I’m always happy to see siblings being friends especially since you will probably both outlive your parents and it’s beautiful to share those cherished memories.
I am so sorry for your loss 💔 But at the same time very happy for you, that you got to make wonderful memorys with him. May your brother rest in peace. Best wishes and much love for you!
❤I know that feeling. Today my sister would've been 38 but she passed away in 2015 from a heart condition. Sorry that you've also had to experience this
I‘m so sorry! I feel like not very many people talk about their siblings passing. I lost my sister in 2018 and it is like something is always missing in my life. And not gonna lie, I get a bit sad and jealous when I see others having a great time with their siblings…
this is so cute yet so sad for me to watch, knowing that i will never get to share a similar bond with my brother, you two are so lucky to have each other
your brothers german is so good, that is so impressive from "just" learning it in school. like the french I learned in school is literally non-existent anymore 😂
It's actually very german to have a Getränkemarkt / supermarket for drinks because it is also a seperate thing to go Getränke shopping. The car will be filled up with sprudel, bier and limo. :D This video came in exactly the right moment. I am packing up to move and stressed and this break gave me new energy and made me smile. Thaaaanks!
i study in Konstanz and moved here to be close to my brother 👼🏼 siblings can be the bestest of friends and lake konstanz truly is the most beautiful place thank you jade for reminding me of how lucky i am ☀️
It’s so beautiful for me to witness you enjoying being in Germany and trying the language! Especially in an area that is quite familiar to me (my fathers side is from Bodensee and my grandma still lives there)! As a German I would never consider most of the places in Germany worth visiting if you had the opportunity to go to a different country instead! So thank you for taking us along ❤
du und dein Bruder, ihr beide seid so hinreißend und auf jede erdenkliche Weise beeindruckend! so ein Geschenk, euch beide in Harmonie zu sehen! Danke😊
The funny thing is that because I'm German and from that area, I could tell from the clouds in the background, when you stopped to watch the sunset, that it would be pissing it down soon :D
I'm 11 minutes in and just have to pause and say I realized I've been smiling for this whole video. Love love love the happiness, wholesomeness, sweetness here! Love your adventure and the beauty you're taking in and the fun you're having!!! What a great video. Just love it!!!
Oh I love love love this video, Jade!!❤ I could feel the peaceful vibes you were talking about through the screen! Your siblings relationship is so special and you definitely had such a fun time together♥️ Cherish your siblings everyone, not everyone has the opportunity to have one🥹🤗
This was adorable! I’m really close with my sibling too and really grateful for our continued closeness even as adults, it’s so important not to take siblings for granted! Never been to Konstanz but this really made me want to
ahhh i live in Konstanz!! i‘ve been watching your videos since you did your a levels (the same time i was doing my german Abitur) your content is so comforting to me because you‘re always so honest and vulnerable and that’s so refreshing! 😌
Ahhhh it's so funny cause you literally went to my hometown and cycled the road I used to take to get to school. Radolfzell is beautiful in summer! And I love to see the relationship you have with your brother, even tho you live in different countries! Sibling love is so special ❤
You are so lucky to have such a great relationship - it's so sweet to see! Also, definitely recommend you listen to Chappell Roan if you love Sabrina. Genuinely woke up with her music in my head after first hearing her stuff, so good!
My sister and I were never close growing up, but it completely changed after COVID when we were kind of forced to stay together. Finally took a trip to Italy and the UK last year as a sibling trip and it was so good. Very reminiscent of this trip you took with your brother. Here's to siblings!
I knew it when you were standing on the Reichenauer Dam and watching the sunset. In the background the sky looked like it was going to rain. I woke up in Konstanz and have experienced this situation so many times. :-) great video!
greetings from one of the surrounding villages! Its so nice to see more and more people having fun in the area, I love it, really makes me appreciate my home more
Wow, this is so nice 🥰 My brother and sister were dead-born and I miss them so much or at least to have someone on their place. Must be a great feeling to share the same parents and be friends with at the same time ❤
Wonderful video Jade. I have subscribed to your channel for at least two years and love it. I am an American and I travel to Germany often. I just finished a 31-day trip in Germany and plan to visit beautiful Lake Konstanz with my family in 2025. I can't wait to vlog my trip to Lake Konstanz when I visit :). Thanks so much for sharing Jade.
Mezzo!! Im Swedish and my family calls it Mezzo. We usually just mix coke and fanta. And apparently: Mezzo Mix is a product from the Coca-Cola Company, first introduced in West Germany in 1973. Its a mixture of cola and orange soda mixed together. Popular in German-speaking countries and commonly known as Spezi.
This was so precious so cute ahhh. This video also made me realize that it is universal for all brothers to feel cringe when their sister expresses love or says something cute. My relationship with my brother is very similar to this as well. I love calling with a million different nicknames and he will hate all of them and cringe at me lmao.
I absolutely would not sleep in the same bed as my brother. He smells. His German is annoyingly better than mine though. What a lovely adventure you had. How wonderful to have it captured on film for ever.
Seeing this pop up was so funny, because I was just there this week from the US! I was nearby for work and wanted to see the lake, but it was also cold and rainy on my visit 😅 now that I have to be in Germany more I’m totally revisiting your language learning videos! Hope you are enjoying your travels
Yeah you can literally mix Fanta and Cola to make Spezi! The "pre-mixed" ones are probably made slightly differently but yeah, mixing it yourself is definitely something people do. I used to work in a restaurant and every once in a while people would even ask if they could order freshly mixed Spezi, despite the fact that we had two brands premixed "Spezi" on the menu (putting Spezi in quotation marks because I think it's technically a brand name, so many brands - including the ones we offered - are called something else).
You re absolutely beating jade inside out 🤍🤍SENDING YOU SM LOVE POSITIVITY AND HAPPINESS 🥰🌻 P.s hav been watchin u for the longest time ever maybe like 5years now and it jus feels like you re a distant sissy😊 Hope I get to see you someday and connect irl ahhh!!!!
I studied in the town of Konstanz at this exact lake and let me tell you i miss seeing the specific kind of blue of the lake and spontaneous jumps into the lake between classes :///
Spezi is the name of a brand and also just the name of the drink. There's no difference really 😁 But people have certain preferences when it comes to "Spezi", "Paulaner Spezi" or just mixing cola with fanta haha
We were raised alongside 4 only childs and I feel like we have other adopted siblings!! 😌 I hope you’re lucky enough to have friends who feel like family too
@@UnJadedJade Don't forget about cousins! They can be just as great as siblings and even better, because that rivalry is not really there in the same way. @@user-cv3pr9xg8y No cousins? Close cousins can be the MOST awesome, better than siblings in some ways because no terrible rivalries. My cousin is my sister. My brother? He is not a part of my life at all, for very good reason. So it isn't always so great to have a sibling, believe me.
@@apartmentgroup9671 Of course it isn’t always great, life is nuanced, my Mum is a twin and they don’t speak. I don’t have cousins, I’m the only grandchild out of 5 children on both my Mum and Dad’s side (he has 2 siblings).
