Unfair judgment. It was not Angie's mousse to begin with but she still had to work with someone else's mousse which was a technical error on his part. Should not be eliminated based on this point.
I impressed with Angie's personality and the trust between Ean and Angie. Keep it up Angie, you already put 100% of your efforts in this competition. Peace ~
I feel sad and disappointed when Angie was eliminated because she is one of my favourite contestants in this baking show :(
Did anyone notice that Ean on one hand said he felt sorry for mistakenly used Angie's mousse, but on the other hand actually laughed (closing his mouth with his hand) when Fann Wong found a small piece of cling wrap on "Angie's mousse". She had difficulty removing the cling wrap, because according to the one of the judges, there were folds in the cling wrap and Ean did not spread the mousse evenly on it. Did he really feel bad because that was his mousse?

This has to be the worst episode of Creme De La Creme. The judges failed to deliver impartiality in this aspect. Somehow there is favoritism behind the scene.
1. I think Fann should just be a host instead of being a judge.
2. There is a serious loophole in this show. You can sabotage others by making a bad mousse and giving it to others without being penalize.
3. Since this is a National TV contest, the contestants are not allowed to make their own decisions.
4. It is sending the wrong moral message to viewers. Nobody will appreciate Angie for being a friendly and easygoing person.

Yup.. The fault lies solely on the judges and the producer for not understanding the rules. That's the problem when you have unprofessional judges. Apparently the producer of the show seems to think that just because you bake, you are also qualified to be a "judge!"
@@bruhbro1181 The big fault here are the judges themselves, they are confused with the show's rules. They went to the general distinction of any foreign object that is not food is an automatic fail, we get that; but they should have addressed the moose switching issue early so that Eun and Angie will get a serious setback FAIRLY and not allowed both of them to just settle the dispute by themselves.
Ean should have been DQ in the first place the moment he was found to used another contestant's mousse. Even if he was not DQ, the mousse point should not have been given to Ean as it was not his. When the crew ask if they want to redo, did the crew give them extra time to complete? Obviously it is because of time constraint they could not afford the time to redo that is why they decided to use each other mousse. The judge were also very unprofessional. There was one episode where the judge told one of the contestant that Janice Wong could not take spice, therefore he reduced the spice level but then when judging he was criticized of not putting enough spice. What they want him to do? too spicy cannot, not spicy cannot, everyone spice tolerance level is different and i don't think the judge should even commented on the spice level. Also, they should stop giving tips to the contestants and hint them to redo and helping them in some cases.

I think if there is a season 2, crew should invest in a freezer at each candidate's work station. Then things won't be mixed up, and they won't need to rush here and there. 😅

There are many things in life that are not fair. But lets say you go to a restaurant and u find a dead cockroach in your food, the restaurant is still held responsible for the mistake even though the dead cockroach may have come from a bag of raw ingredients from the supplier.
You are ultimately judged on the final product presented to the customer. Even though the mousse was prepared by Ean, Angie decided to use it and its her responsibility to ensure that no cling wrap was left in the mousse when she was unwrapping it.
Its a hard lesson, but a good one especially if they want to be in the industry for the long haul. Having said all these, i really like both contestants - Angie is a very positive and optimistic person and she exited the competition very gracefully, and although Ean may come across to some as arrogant, he does strike me as a person who is very dedicated and passionate about baking, and willing to learn and take criticism/feedback from the judges. He most certainly does not deserve the backlash and cyberbullying.
??? this is a competition. It has to be FAIR. Lmao. There are rules. Even if it really was Ean’s honest mistake, the judges and the whole production team can do better in handling this situation.
@@heykyu5892 My view is that Angie should be responsible for the mistake because (1) she first proposed to use Ean's mousse without tasting it and (2) she was the one removing the cling wrap from the mousse. Note that she was eliminated because of the cling wrap in the dish and not because of the overall quality of the mousse. Like what Chef Janice said, Angie should have tasted Ean's mousse before proposing and agreeing to use his one. Its a competition, yes, and a little bit of ruthlessness would have helped. But we can see that they have all become good friends, so what to do lol. In a way, i respect that as well.
Let me say something fair here. This is based on my observation in this episode. I rewatched it 3 times. I felt both Ean and Angie should be disqualified. I’ve been buying cakes from Ean’s bakery (he do not know who i am) but whenever Ean handle my enquiries, he is super detailed and honest with me. But i doesn’t mean I’m speaking up for him. He definitely should double check his mousse before taking. HOWEVER....
Here are my observations:
- The color tag was very messy. Yang min had masking tape and red color tag while Ean and Julie had green tag+ yellow tag. (Base on the cutting)
- The tray Ean took out does not have color tag. But when color tag appear when he reach his table (obviously somethings wrong)
- Angie put her mouse onto the bottom right (when she put in) , Angie claimed that the bottom left tray was her when she took out. Mediacorp? What are u doing with the scenes you have?
- Angie and Ean agreed to have the exchange done, shouldn’t production crew clarify this and stop the contestants from swapping?
The main issue lies on the production crew, they are trying to come out with dramatic scenes to hype up the viewership. Cut scenes also never cut properly, got loop holes. if people like me were to rewatch it you will know what I’m talking about. From this i can assure Ean did not cheat or steal. He was the victim as well. You can cut in the scenes of yangmin and angie when they put her mousse, but they never show the footage when Ean put his mousse into the freeze???
So people, use your heart to see, not your eyes. This episode is so misleading. I feel sorry for the contestants.

Unfair judgement, it wasn’t angie’s fault to begin with when her mousse was taken by Ean yet she have to 承担后果。
双方都同意换，也认同不管结果是什么都接受。Angie先开口说交换的。
评审点评说Angie的mousse口味是最好的(那是Ean做的)。对于2人在这集的作品，评审对于Ean在其他味道的评价也比较高。
从一开始Angie就先做错mousse的口味。
说Ean故意，有点不合理。
这场比赛，大家都不知道题目，时间拿捏需要非常好，这次主题也是Ean最不擅长的。
所以Ean要如何一边做自己的?然后又去注意Angie的mousse,然后趁机偷换? Janice也说，换很危险，因为不知道味道怎么样。Ean如何确保Angie的mosses的味道是对的呢?
Ean有偷笑，那也只是尴尬的笑，他自己也不确定评审最后是否也会因为这事扣他分数或叫他主动退出。

By right producers and judges should step in immediately already. They simply allow them to use each other’s creation, what’s the point of competing. Not fair to the other 2 contestants, not just Ean and Angie.
A good ideal happy ending should be Ean owning up the mistake and sacrifice himself to go out of the competition. Then comments will be saying wa he value the friendship he make in the competition, owning up to his mistake like a man etc. But I don’t fault him la, he nervous until like this already, probably can’t think properly Liao, 3 hours ask u do some pro master creation.

The most realistic decision should have been the judges telling him to redo the moose OR give the moose back to Angie and him redoing the moose
The design of this competition shows no effort at all. How can the producers allow such a low-level mistake to be made? Using colours tags to mark out the competitor's work? What if they switch the colours around or like this case, took the wrong one. I am utterly disgusted at how sloppy the judges look at this incident. Seems like even Mediacorp "Ah-Jie"s are just like that. I am ashamed that our Singapore entertainment industry can't even afford separate cooking equipment for the contestants even in the semi-finals... Cfm all this money is used to paying for the salaries of the Ah Jies.
Blast freezer for each contestants? too expensive and unrealistic ah, the problem is labeling, they should have resorted on name tags. IF these contestants are honest enough (they would not switch around the tags!) they would not be confused their trays with others if they have a name on it
If it's too expensive at least have a big enough blast freezer to have 4 different levels, one for each contestants. Don't even need name tagging. Simple and easy solution. Just a lack of effort from the production team.
It is not easy to take out cling wrap
Any foreign object that is not food included is an automatic fail, we know that, but the judges and producers should have stepped in and made a decision immediately the moment the moose switch happened. Very careless and irresponsible of them to just ride with the flow and let the events to go; competition essence they should have never allowed Eun and Angie use the moose they had regardless of the time and allowed both of them to suffer a big setback FAIRLY (though in reality Eun should only be the one be punished).
Shawn should have been deservedly be eliminated due to his obvious poor performance and Eun passed because of Angie's moose which is totally unfair to her.

From the start I don't like Ean. He talked quite arrogantly and seems over-confident. Not humble at all. I'm glad he didn't win in the final. It was the worst decision in a show by the judges and team of not DQ Ean.

it was mention that the mousse made by Ean tasted the most fantastic among the four but it was Angie mistake that she did not check properly before serving up to the judge hence she is DQ by making this mistake , i think that the judges is being very fair to all. I also find Angie too confident and arrogant. Isn't she the one decided on taking Ean's mousse, before the judges can say anything? It's also her responsibility to check properly before serving the judges, whether it's hers or Ean's.

I can accept that she should take blame for not checking. Can you also accept that Ean should take blame for taking angie Mousse? And by sequence, Ean was the root cause of the problem. Angie knew that there is cling wrap issue, but she couldn't remove all the cling wrap as Ean did not spread out the cling wrap properly and it was stuck in the mousse.

First of all, Angie good on your for your attitude and how you handled the situation with grace. Other's could have blamed Ean, but you didn't, and that itself speaks volumes of you as a person.
Next, just as a consideration for such situations - instead of "swapping" the mouse, could contestants have swappped something less prominent to the entire dessert (that is the strawberry drizzle on top of the mouse?
Maybe at that point, things were just to hectic to consider how to minimise the use of another contestant's work so as to maintain integrity/ proportion of each of their own work.
Ean, you did improve as the competition progressed, so good on you for that. I am sure you know that your success should be shared with Angie. Yeah? Don't let the situation spoil the friendship. You two have the chemistry of good friends!

Who knows this could be scripted to create some drama and gain more viewership?
This is a competition after all. The contestants are not here to make friends. Angie had a chance to request to remake her mousse but she chose to take Ean’s mousse instead. She should try to win the favour of the judges, not contestants, it’s a baking contest, not a popularity contest.
It’s wrong for Ean to take Angie’s mousse, but Angie’s not faultless either.
The decision of the judges and producers makes no sense to me, they should penalise Ean for making a blunder like this, or at least call for a remake.
But anw this show is so cringey from the start with two awkward hosts, contestants and judges who can’t speak fluent Mandarin and yet want to emphasise it’s the first ever Chinese baking contest tv show in local tv. Allowing contestants to exceed the time limit, giving tips and helping here and there, influencing how much spice to add in the food are just some examples of favouritism.
I always watch this on 2X speed and fast forward to the end because the intro and process are just too long-winded. Maybe only paying attention to certain eye candies and that’s it. Nothing much worth watching.
Btw I’m not Ean’s fan, I’m quite neutral about him. I don’t hate any of the contestants either. It’s takes a lot of courage to appear on national tv and to be under so much scrutiny. Ean made a mistake but let’s not be overly harsh on him that he has to shut down his IG. He didn’t make the judges eliminate Angie, it’s the judges who made the decision.

Angie is the one who decides to take Ean's mousse. If she objects to it, I believe the judges will then decide what to do next. But Angie is too overly confident of herself. Since she makes the decision, she has to take the responsibilty. She should have checked properly before serving the plate, especially when the cling is so hard to remove, whether the mousse is Ean or hers.

After rewatching this episode several times and reading all the comments, it is clear that most of us are angry at Ean's wrongdoings which resulted in Angie's elimination. Unfortunately, there seems to be a very small proportion of Ean's puppet accounts, friends and family members who have been trying to obfuscate the matter in the comments sections.

Fann is wrong about Ean. He is not stress because he thinks he is leaving the competition but rather he knows how to do the tart, that's why he is steady and able to complete his tarts on time.
Ean may have made the mistake but he is not totally to be blamed. So are the judges.
Angie is just too overly confident thus make her cocky. She should just shut up and let the judges decide what to do. Or the judges should just shut her up! Afterall she is not a judge herself. The judges should have the final say, not her.
But since she decide on taking Ean's mousse, she should take the responsiblity. Don't forget, Ean's mousse is the best among the four. Whether it's Ean's mousse or her own, she should make sure there is no cling wrap before she serves the plate. Thus her exit is her own fault.
I blame the producer and the staff instead. Why only one small fridge for all the contestants? Why use post-it? It will drop out from the tray. Is this a budget show?
The trays were marked with color code of sorts as seen in the mothership article. And if he make a mistake, he should be the better man, and leave. And not take the credit and position.
The biggest offender here are the judges and producers, they should have stepped in and made the right decision to reprimand Ean, they should not let the contestants make decisions and agreements to themselves and just sit there observe
