The only thing I really noticed is how honest they are with each other. In like other relationships or with crushes, you see people being all shy about their feelings but they are just honest and open with each other. So even tho they didn’t end up together, those moments will never leave them because they both knew how they felt about each other.

His interest in her was the purest intention Klaus ever experienced outside his rage and vengence, he was willing to be selfless and forgo every self destructive plans he had for over a 1000 years just to have her, I do not remember him pledging such loyalty and devotion to Camille. but she hated herself for loving someone who'd willingly hurt her friends. Camille grew empathetic of Klaus as a friend, therapist and eventually as a potential new love interest. She admired him when he took a chance to rise above his traumas which was great. Klaus still gave her a hard time when she tried to change him, with Caroline he was willing to do it without a second thought, in fact she inspired kindness, love and mercy just for her and she never had to preach it to him, he just saw her worthy of that side of him, a side his family hadn't seen in a thousand years. See why she was used often against him. And even with that he never tried to ghost her ever or manipulate her ever and trusted her with his life when he thought he was dying and vulnerable, he motivated her dreams and supported them, later trusted her with Hope. He has ghosted and compelled Camille a few times. And called her up whenever he needed to use her for something. I am not saying Camille was bad for him. I'm just saying she was an obvious rebound. If Caroline followed Klaus to New Orleans as he asked (which he did more than once) Camille would either go unnoticed by him or at best be stuck to being know as the bartending psychologist at Rousseau's
