Great content, thank you I was looking for something to look for understanding the motion and how much you can spend with your budget so you dont risk everything. I juat wanted to feel confident more of what I am looking at, not just to know how much money I can make. Thanks for this video. I am more of investing when possibly doing some short trade for few months and mostly long trading, longer than a few months 6 months plus years etc
Yeah then definitely consider a demo account. There are some risk management systems in place that you can essentially limit your losses. Easiest one is using a stop order. So for example you buy AMZN at 115/share. You obviously want to make money but you are not interested in watching your life savings evaporate. Then you can apply a stop order, at whatever price you choose and if the price goes below that STOP price. You will exit the trade and otherwise stop the loss.
Thanks for the video. It just appear the demo Mark, but the question is how do you create firstly the account without open a real account to test the demo. Thanks
@@physiotrader6604 Probably not, so I will have to open an account and test it without funding. One question. Do you have any problem with executions specially at the opening of the sessions? Absolutely tires of Tastyworks and having problems many days.
I do not day trade with my Schwab account anymore because of that reason. To be fair, I switched to a direct access broker sometime in 2020 when there was a substantial amount more of volatility and market participants. So im not sure and cannot speak well to how Schwab handles the market open. In general any broker that is not a direct access broker (Schwab, TDA, Tastyworks, Webull, Robinhood, Suretrader, etc are full access brokers and do not specialize in day trading. ) These brokers work well, but you would be wise to avoid trading the first 10-25 minutes to avoid massive slippage. I normally recommend stay away from the first 5 minutes anyway. I do use Schwab regularly and haven't had issues with my fills lately, however, this is usually entering or exiting a swing position so I dont worry too much about fills as much as I do scalping with my trading account. For that account I use lightspeed because its a direct access broker- this will charge you commissions but your fills will be instant. Other direct access brokers, cobra trading, interactive brokers, most can use DAS trader as a platform for executions. hope that helps
Hi, I downloaded StreetSmart Edge trading platform today and I noticed there is zero dollar account balance. Is this normal? How do you fund the demo account? How can you practice paper trading with zero dollar? Can you help? Thank you.
um, so the way they do a demo account is to essentially have a zero balance. Its really to familiarize yourself with the platform. It will allow you to buy or sell or short any size volume equities.
I use win 10. I downloaded about a week ago. When i start sse the screen that you found the demo mode button on flashes on my monitor for about a second, there is nothing click and it goes off to a log in page, with no options
No. You will need to have a live account because that is the credentials you will use to use the software. However unlike most brokers Schwab does not charge for live data or have account minimums. So all you would need is to open a brokerage with them. Never actually have to fund the account and then begin using the software.
So the conclusion is?! I'm brand new to options trading and have an IRA brokerage account there. I have been approved for level 1 options trading and would like to start paper trading but it would appear Schwab's platform is not that great? Maybe get back with another video after you've actually used and learned the platform in detail to give us some more useful insight. Thank you.
I am happy to answer any questions you have regarding their options platform. I have now been trading options with them regularly for the past several months.

Thank you for taking your time to explain this system. Appreciate it.
You’re welcome. Glad I was able to help
There is no box for demo mode to check under my login info, what am I missing?
