As a fellow Coloradan, we just got into vinyl this year, and this was my first record story day. Got in line at 5:45 for a 6 am open in the snow in Longmont.
The snow was ROUGH this year!
I got Wallows, 1975, Olivia and Lost In Translation for this RSD. This was my first year ever practicing and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.
Keep your eyes open for RSD Black Friday too! They usually have some good release for it as well!
You guys are so lucky getting the Remi Wolf vinyl, I could not find a single store in Australia that had it
We were so lucky! When we got in the store there wasn’t any left but then we saw someone putting a copy back so we ran over and grabbed it!
Great group of records looks like you had an awesome RSD! I just discovered your channel and subbed you up, I enjoyed RSD too, I arrived around 1:30am and was first in line at our local store, it's kind of been a tradition for me for a while, I love meeting all the people in line, the records are almost secondary, you had a great haul! Great video! You’ve got taste. My store only had 30 of Noah/Olivia, and less than 5 of Sabrina. I got there four hours before my store opened and still was 100th in line so I didn’t get either haha. However I stayed because there were some nice people and I got stuff for others (The Weeknd and reckless and relentless). I tried ordering the Noah/Olivia the next morning but failed, and resale prices are crazy considering there were 34k pressed worldwide. BUT on the bright side I did order the Paper Kites vinyl (the one I was most excited for but my store did not receive any) and it should be here soon!
I can’t believe you got there four hours early and were still 100th in line! That’s crazy! Even though you didn’t get everything you wanted, im glad you still had fun and met some new people!
Thanks for sharing! I got the Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan as well. I also loved the color of the vinyl itself. I was hoping for the paper kites and death cab for cutie but it was already sold out at my store. (This was my first RSD experience.)

I don't want to sound like a hater, but I'm confused.. Why would you say Taylor has always been a supporter of indie record stores when she releases several versions of her albums that are exclusive to big box stores like Target. Does she release other versions that are exclusive to indie stores or something?
That’s actually a good question, however the answer doesn’t specifically relate to variants of a vinyl. During the pandemic she sent thousands of signed folklore CDs to indie record store for free to help give them a boost during that time. Also during the pandemic, she donated money to record stores to help keep them afloat. Her 2023 RSD release, folklore the long pond studio session had thousands of fans across the world flocking to their record stores because there was 175,000 pressed of the album. Is this a direct way of helping a record store? Not necessarily, but that’s THOUSANDS of dollars that went into those local businesses all because of her. This year, even though she didn’t release a RSD exclusive, she did still send them those cards so that fans would still go to their record store to buy the album. Yes it helps her, but it also gets traffic into those stores! Yes, she does do variants with target specifically, but she also helps out those small independent sellers as well!
