When I saw this ep I think I was distracted by the ridiculousness of bantam weight cavalry charging well-formed infantry and thus missed the fact that the infantry were actually maybe not all that well-formed. Also, your description of the brutal stop reminds me of the time my sister's horse went from an out of control gallop to a full stop and launched into the barbed wire fence.
Does Jaime actually have much of a reputation as a military commander? I suppose he acquitted himself well at The Siege of Riverrun. The Hussite Wars (1419 - 34) were almost contemporaneous with The Agincourt War and The English used wagenburg tactics very effectively at The Battle of Rouvray (1429).
