Average Citizen: "Oh no...this bread is really expensive..I dont know how Im going to feed my family with this..."
Robespierre: "DID I JUST HEAR THAT YOU WANNA GO TO THE GUILLOTINE!?"
Yet nearly the only one who cared about people's bread was Robespierre himself
like always, it considerately exagerates Robespierre's personnel power and responsabilities : Robespierre was just one member among twelve, of the Committee of Public Safety, in theory the government of revolutionnary France, but who had his power limited by the Committee of General Security, that was the police department. Both of the committees had to answer for their actions to the National Convention (the parliament) every week, and each member had to get confirmed by the National Convention each month to keep his position.
Robespierre was not a dictator, as he had too little personnal power : he had no personnal armed troops, no political party at his orders, and no bureaucracy either : all of his decisions had to be approved by the 11 other members of the Committee, so none of the decisions he made, or the death sentences he signed, were personnal delusions
Moral of the story: A better tomorrow is never possible through persecution and blind aggression.
That’s actually very deep. You are very wise.

Yeah, Infographics, were the Carmelite sisters who were kicked out of their convent the part of the "Church" that oppressed and killed people?
I'll answer it for you. No, they weren't.
Not really, it was more likely the thermidoriens who accused Robespierre of killing jacobin and radical members such as Danton which eventually led to the fall of Robespierre… and despite what the propaganda tells us, the thermidoriens weren’t moderated but during the 9th thermidor, they started being moderate… but even after the death of Robespierre, the gu*llotine was more used

not really cuz robespierre was the one who created the motto of LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ
and when the mobs rebelled against the revolutionary governement, robespierre supported the mob and the people meanwhile he despised the senators and deputies who were INSIDE of the republican governement...

Wonder what Francë Will do during this revolucion thats coming in a few months
The Reign of Terror, commonly called The Terror (French: la Terreur), was a period of the French Revolution when, following the creation of the First Republic, a series of massacres and numerous public executions took place in response to revolutionary fervour, anticlerical sentiment, as well as accusations of treason by the Committee of Public Safety.
There is disagreement among historians over when exactly "the Terror" began. Some consider it to have begun only in 1793, giving the date as either 5 September,[1] June[2] or March, when the Revolutionary Tribunal came into existence. Others, however, cite the earlier time of the September Massacres in 1792, or even July 1789, when the first killing of the revolution occurred.[a]
The term of "Terror" to describe the period was introduced by the Thermidorian Reaction who took power after the fall of Maximilien Robespierre in July 1794,[1][2] to discredit Robespierre and justify their actions.[3] Today there is consensus amongst historians that the exceptional revolutionary measures continued after the death of Robespierre, now called the period of "White Terror".[4] By then, 16,594 official death sentences had been dispensed throughout France since June 1793, of which 2,639 were in Paris alone;[2][5] and an additional 10,000 died in prison, without trial, or under both of these circumstances.
Didn't Robespierre himself say something about the need for both 'virtue' and 'terror'? If so I guess he wouldn't have felt particularly discredited (in my view he does a pretty fine job of discrediting himself with that one, and of course with the things he did)

Okay infographics, but you also forgot to include that Robespierre was the 1700s guy with glasses meme....Am I the only one who missed that at the time?
He was also below average height for the time.
Some believe he had access to a pistol somehow and tried to shoot himself before being executed.. other versions say he was somehow shot by a guard. Either way , half of his left jaw was blown away and his death mask still shows the rag he still wore on the face after his head was removed.
This enrage Robespierre who killed him severely
11:08 actually is the other way around
Terror without virtue is cruel
Virtue without terror is powerless
