They either didn’t listen or didn’t understand. No motivation to engage with his answers. Just the same old bits about “confidence”, “how important is it to you that…”, “motivation”. Pep is a myth lol
Unlimited budget at Man City and usually wins the league...so what?
The truth is that Paul Lambert would PROBABLY win the league with City.
Paul Lambert would probably win the league with Bayern.
And Paul Lambert would certainly win the league with THAT Barca team.
Paul Lambert would not have won the UEFA Cup with Porto. Nor would he have won the UCL with Porto. Nor would he have beaten that Barca team to La Liga. Nor would he have won the treble with Inter. Nor would he have won the UEFA Cup with THAT Man Utd.
Guardiola was blessed with prime Messi xavi and iniesta and everything has gone swimmingly ever since. Apart from the fact that he has never won the UCL without prime GOAT Messi.
I can't say he's 'bad'. He's won it all. But I can't say he's 'very good' because half the managers out there would have done what he has done.
      It's undisputable.

We know so little from our perspective, and even for managers there's only so much they can guess about opponents, which will determine in some way how they'll approach the game... but that's if the opponent doesn't spring a surprise in the first place! ... and after all that, the tactics are only really those tactics if the players execute the plan properly.
