I’m a vocalist and I understand why producers get more money from a song when they release music. Remember that when you lay your vocals there, they still need to be cleaned and fine tuned (which takes so much time)
releasing it under your name (as an artist) and pay the producer for the beat (just putting them on credits) then you’re kinda eliminating that shine on them. But if the producer is featuring you and you didn’t pay them, then they should have the advantage.
I’m saying it SHOULD work that way.. I’m hoping it does.
