Quickly becoming a new standard in Catholic churches during communion, "The Supper Of The Lord" is a peaceful communion hymn calling us to remember what the Eucharist truly represents. Recorded live at St. Francis De Sales Church in Ajax Ontario on August 27, 2017 by the Sunday 7pm Choir.

When this song came on in church, I think it was the first time music there ever made me feel sad. Devastated, even. For whatever reason, I knew in that moment, we live this life completely alone. God is our only true companion, no child of His can ever give you unconditional support. "Bread of love is broken now," is when it really hit me. The supper is Heaven, because we don't take those pieces to the same table on Earth. The nature of man has had so long to pollute God's message with gold, and green cloth, that we take our plates as far from each other as we can. And I am no exception. Regardless, what a beautiful song. Like the voice of a parent calling their children in for dinner. See you all when we get there.

My wife and I are about to start our service during the Thursday mass... singing 😬. We are Spanish speakers so we started to look for hyms that we could sing during the Comunion. We fell in love of this melody and the lyrics are just beautiful. Praise be God, now we will be ready to praise Him in English.
