After a little research This is the codes for the MFC L8850CDW- Hold the House button 5 sec, new screen with serial# and Rom show up - go to 4th box (blank) and hold it for 5 sec- New screen - Hit the LCD keys- *2864 then wait, Hit keys 01- then wait - Finally hit keys 99. Your Printer is reset to factory. God Luck. Hope that helps others searching out there!
Here's a REALLY important thing the video misses, that you MUST do. So when you go in to maintenance mode, do NOT choose option 99 at first. That will actually EXIT maintenance mode. You have to scroll down to option 91. That's the one that does the reset. Press ok. THEN when it's back at MAINTENANCE toggle back to 99 and press ok again - to exit. We tried the steps above multiple times before we found out that 99 just EXITS maintenance mode without doing anything.
I got it now...thank you so much...this helps a lot...on my machine, leave the front door closed...but it works exactly as the gentlemen explains here...very good!!

I have been trying this for the last couple of weeks as time allows and I can't get mine to do this. It just selects different beeping menu options as I type the numbers. I open the door, press menu, star, 2 8 6 4 and I never get the long beep.
To find the overall password: -in your browser goto the ip address of the printer -goto lists/reports -goto Network Configuration -hit print -password at bottom of printed page
This advise did not work in my printer as it only beeps when I enter the numbers you provided. When I go to menu it only shows menu for settings 1 copy and 2 fax, for printer and network it only beeps. I don't know what to do!
Hi. I do not have a similar printer at the moment, but check out this video with a touch sensitive control panel and see if it gives you an idea on how to access resets menu. Don't know if this would help but on my Brother printer I did the following: To find the overall password: -in your browser goto the ip address of the printer -goto lists/reports -goto Network Configuration -hit print -password at bottom of printed page
