Well considering the majority of countries within Europe have laws regarding such repairs falling onto the landlord and not the tenant that lawyer should have known better. And the moment they threatened legal action OP should have simply said "Bring it, and my first piece of evidence will be the invoice in MY name." OP shouldnt have sent a copy of the invoice because you can bet the dodgy lawyer would have doctored it and claimed it back as a tax deduction. Also, after all that time OP could have also argued the fact that it was there when they left and simply not owned up
@@Ryanthusar exactly. Lawyer should have known better. Had the proof, the lawyer would have lost for sure. Making that point, could have actually had the tenant pay. Glad it worked out.
Story #4 - Reminds me of the tour that I took of Fort York in Toronto, when I was a teen. The guide told us that the fort used to be right on the lake and people would fish off the wall (in the distant past, of course), but then landfill was used to create land to the south. The Gardiner Expressway, an elevated highway, was later built on that land. In protest he said that on holidays they would fire blank loads, from their cannons, at the expressway.
For several years I received a call about a person and her credit card bill. Apparently she owed about 50,000usd on one card. The caller threatened me with a law suit claiming I was hiding the person that owed the money and I could face jail time and a hefty fine. I laughed, my wife is a lawyer and she heard everything you just said.
Story 1 - OP should have refused to move, told the attendant they were sick of seeing 'reserved' chairs and if they then kept going to bring a manager. Point out they are a PAYING guest like the others are, and they are welcome to actually use their seats next time instead of coming back AFTER 4 hours. Story 6 - Even if it was exchanged in such a fashion, it still has to be lodged with the city, you can bet they would come out to mark the new boundary, spot the shed, and question when it was built lol
Story 5: Did OP tell the Brother that the lawyer was denying him the reimbursement? If not, then this is a dick move. Otherwise, it's on the Brother and the lawyer.
The boiler story😂😂
Consider that a lesson learned 😂😂😂

The boiler story... Judge Judy would absolutely laugh the landlord out of her courtroom.
yo fuck Judge Judy. agree with the sentiment of your comment though
No, sir. You have video of me leaving with MY trash can.
Because the camera was showing Op on his own property take a can somewhere and the person who took the video probably edited them out trespassing

In response to hoping they don't have video. Unlikely as it was in front of OP's driveway. I doubt they would have a camera pointed there.
Aquanet was my favorite fuel for potato shooters
Haha sorry sir, it's my trashcan. As you can see by the fact that it sits on my property 99% of the time
you are secretly r slash arent you
No they have vastly different voices and commentary.

the towel trick is a german thing
What, putting towels down and 'reserving' your spot. Nope, the yanks started it
It's also an incredibly British thing
