So many people have no idea what it takes to maintain a healthy herd. I wish students were still taken on field trips to learn these things. Take Care. Be Safe. God Bless
Great Work, you are a care taker with that lovely 👪 and healthy animals. Cute Cute Baby 😄😄😄. I 💘 💘 your videos. One channel i 💘 watching. God Bless You.
Good looking herd. All fat and sassy even with nursing calves. Always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Till next video, you take care.
Great to see the entire FTR family working the cows!! A couple of old professors use to have different sayings..."Economy of Motion" and "Field Expedient"...You applied both concepts in this video and they really make a difference. Good to see you dodged a bullet with the trailer gate........Those things happen so fast. The drone shot over the working area was spot on for me!
A beautiful looking herd, Farmer Tyler ! Also, so happy to see your wife and little daughter. I really enjoyed this video...and, look forward to many more in the future.... :) God bless you and your Family ! :)
Your littlest helper there is so cute. But she needs a little brother too. Lol Loves and hugs from the little old lady in New Mexico USA May God bless you and your family
Your herd looks awsome,I’m waching youre chanel for a long time and I can not remember that you Had cows in souch a great shape at this time of the year with calfs ofcourse. 👍💪
I'm glad to see that trailer door didn't get that best of you.. that could have been horrific! Farm accidents happen fast, and never seem to end well. Nice to see you guys out working together and having fun. You two look happy! Im sure its nice having all the cows at the home ranch. I'm sure it'll cut your chores down a bit! Thanks for sharing bud, and be safe out there!
You sure do make that look easy with the great editing 😉 Glad that gate didn't get you worse than it did. I've seen some really bad accidents from this same scenario. Looks like Sadie wants to help really bad. It was really nice to see the missus & little one out there helping you out. Thanks for taking us along!
The cows came through the winter real well, looking nice and fleshy. Enjoyed seeing your boss and the little one helping with spring chores, in 3-4 years your little one will be right in the mix helping her daddy, calf crop looks really good this year as well
Tyler, happy U don't have your face smashed by the trailer gate flyin' open, that would HURT big time! Nice 2 C the girls helpin' with the cow/calf sorting/vaccinations. This fall I believe Sadie will B able 2 help U a lot. That is smart U can adjust the squeeze chute 4 calves so easily. 👍👏😊
young man you have a wife and a baby to look after please please please stay safe sorry bout your shoulder thats going to hurt come the morning hugssss
It's great that you're better half will come out and give you a little bit of a hand. But lucky with the gate, I guess that won't happen again. Add another job you don't have to worry about until next summer 😎
Howdy! From north Texas. Awsome to see the whole family helping out! We need more of this teamwork these days. 👪 I'm glad you included your vaccination regime in the video. It will go a long way to prevent last year's pneumonia outbreak. Keep up the good work! 🍻👍
Again... one of the best videos! Will we ever get Mrs FTR's name ? She is so cheery and helpful. The little one is cute as all get out ! Awesome job once again !
the job is always a little easier when you have such good help (Mrs FTR)....could you list what you used as vaccines for everyone??? Also, you should take a look at the XL Bander for those older calves, i bought one because i usually dont band until i wean at about 6 months and it worked great for the larger sets....keep up the great work.
My neighbor in the apartment below me knows I watch RUclips video late at night (insomnia most every night). She asked me recently why she hears cows mooing so much. LOL. I told her about how much I like your channel. She laughed and said, “of all the videos on RUclips you like the farm ones the best?” Yup 😁😁😁
This video= 💯💯♨️♨️♨️💯💯 1 of your best! LOVED it!!! Watched it twice! Haha! Mrs FTR, Masie, Sadie, the bawling mothers 🥰😂😂and a clear view of everything that went down. This was awesome guys. I can't believe you did it all in 1 day!!! I wouldn't be able to move for days after 😂 AND SO GLAD YOU WEREN'T ANY CLOSER WHEN THAT GATE SWUNG OPEN!! 🙌
Awesome videos man!! You have really encouraged me to keep on working to grow my little herd. Also have learned many good lessons from your videos. Keep it up!
A family outing today ☺ Lovely to see little Missy. Isnt sadie getting bigger. Like my Border Collies at that ag ... all legs lol. I hope your shoulder was ok, that was some bang! 🌿🌷🌿
Great video Tyler! Looked like you had some good helpers for cow/calf move and the vac work. Glad the trailer gate didn't get you! That would have not been good!!! Stay safe and healthy! Thank you for sharing :-)
So good to see you, Mrs. FTR! You're looking great! Love the braids! And pretty baby along too! Quite the family affair. That was so nice to see. Boy those white heads really show up in the crowd, huh? 🤣
I agree with the others that the cows look fantastic, especially #15. Well done, FTR! I take that back after rewatching. Every cow off that trailer looks fantastic.
On one issue, fly the drone over the coral and explain why you have laid it out the way you have. Would you redesign it if you were starting over. We are in the development stage.
How long does it take to move and process all the cows and calf’s? I like the full beard look, and it’s less maintenance. Beard- portable air filter, sunscreen, sensor as an extension of the nerves, food catcher, wind sock.
Ouch! that looked like it really hit you hard when the gate of the trailer opened. At least, like you said, it didn't get your face. Never think of all the dangers farmers face working with such a large animal as a cow.
Me watching my dad give a cow a shot “Ok” Him asking me to do it, even when I know their skin is as thick as leather “No thanks, I just reload the vaccines” He still makes me do it, even though it didn’t go through the first time Talking about how it went Him-“thought you would know were to do it because you watch me do it all the time” Me-“I help gather and herd the cattle, write down tag numbers, and reload vaccines” Him-“yeah and you did a good job for the first time, you even saw an several infections on some of the cow’s utters” Me-“ thank you, even though you forgot me and my brother when we were still in the back of the truck when you were pulling onto the highway. I was trying to get out when you pulled onto the highway and I fell backwards, ONTO A ROLL OF SHARP BARBED WIRE! Took you eight minutes for you to remember we were still in the back.”
@@farmertylerranch4399 good deal. Like watchin young folk like yourself grow up in the farm/ranch lifestyle. Not many do. I've done it my entire raising, love it. Keep going strong Tyler! Lost one heifer last week and now I got another bottle baby. Life's good!
@@dianeveilleux6452 I don't think so. A few shots and a brand is very minimal. I think itd be more work and more stressful to bring them in a second time just for branding
I don’t brand until they’re older and I’ve selected which ones I’m going to keep. If they are going down the road I don’t brand them, whoever buys them will

Nice to see the wife out working with you. Having the spouse along makes the job more enjoyable.
That is for sure. She hasn’t been able to help in the last year what with watching the baby, I didn’t realize how much I missed having her out there!

Awesome, looking herd of cattle Tyler.
You have a good set-up for your cattle !!

I have to laugh at Sadie. Herding instinct starts kicking in, stares at HUGE cows, self preservation instinct takes over.
Haha yeah she wants to get at em bad!

I know you talk about it in the videos but can you do a separate video on what shots you give the cattle and what it’s for
Poor boys, i cant help but feel bad for any male losing his berries
JARED from missouri
They also make a Vira Sheild 6+vl5. It would eliminate a third shot on cows.
Thanks that’s what I need. May have to order it

Thank God. That was so close to a disaster. Lucky guy. 🚜🚜😲😲🚜🚜
Different little dog , so this was filmed 2 yrs ago where is it now
Nice looking cows big bulky & healthy
LOL looking at that stack, you might need a potato gun with a paper wad load and the wrench to reach across the whole stack
You should totally try this
For scientific purposes of course
You have some really nice looking cows. Have you seen any of the eye infections like you had last year or is it too early in the year?
Thanks Jean. Usually eye problems don’t pop up until it starts getting hot, which it’s supposed to do next week. So we’ll know soon!
You can buy Vira Shield 6 VL5 with lepto in it.
Tyler did you build your squeeze ? I know you're handy with the welder. I like it.
I didn’t build the squeeze itself, but I built all the alleyways and corral. Thanks David!
Have you ever thought about AI a few of your cows with a high quality bull??
How often are you vaccinating and are there any specific events you would vaccinate prior to?
How far is it from the winter pastor to the ranch
F T R, dose your wife know you are turning into an Amish, with that extended beard.
keep safe,
Please trim🙂

“Ok”
Him asking me to do it, even when I know their skin is as thick as leather

Talking about how it went

6:10 soooo? If this happens next time how would you do it differently? ❤🌅🌵
Do you do an educated guess on dosage or do you have scales in your setup? Thanks!
Vaccine dosages are by the head, the wormer is an educated guess!
Is there a difference between cow breeds? Are black angus better than Herefords?
About how much does it cost per cow for those 3 vaccinations...Thanks
Less than $10
