Thank you!! This bass is an outdated "Squier Affinity Jazz Bass", but if you're just starting out I'd recommend getting a P-Bass (or a bass with P pickups) for worship! They have a lot more sustain, sound punchier, and overall the tone is better for worship. I'd go with something like a Squier Sonic P-Bass (if you want something really budget) or an Ibanez Talman TMB30. In the end, always buy something that would make you feel inspired to pick it up, because even if it's not the best bass, if it looks nice to you, you'll pick it up more and get better at it! Best wishes to you finding a suitable bass! ❤😊
@@annathegrace3116 No problem! If you want something over the $200-300 price mark, I'd go with a Sire bass! Their pickups sound AWESOME but most importantly, the build quality and construction is a HUGE step higher than Squier and cheap basses. Classic Vibes are also good but a bit overpriced imo. I'd definitely go with a Sire if you have the budget! 😊 Do you plan on getting a 4-string or 5-string?
@@CornerstoneWorshipTutorials I’m new to this and wants to get an idea of what the price range is. I really appreciate your detailed feedback! Maybe Sire one will be my next purchase 😄! For now, what do you think of the Squier Affinity Series Precision Bass?
@@annathegrace3116 No problem! We've all had to start somewhere ☺The Affinity P is a good bass, but it's not that different from the Sonic P-bass except the added J-Bass pickups (which for ME, it's totally unnecessary) and it's $80 more, so personally I'd go with the Sonic P. But it's really up to you! Both will sound pretty much the same (except the Affinity having that extra J-bass pickups in the bridge position) and I was actually gonna get the Affinity P instead of the Affinity J I got 😂😂 Also, I always recommend saving up and spending on something of higher quality than buying a cheap thing and slowly upgrading unless you're not sure if you'll be playing the bass. Let me know if you have more questions!
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, I did not make chords or tabs for this song, but I can start working on the chords in the subtitles! Would that be of any help, or would you still need tabs?
@@김찬-t7k In addition, I will be adding notes and fretboard positions in the subtitles for a few videos. 😄 Edit: Subtitles are done! Hope you find them useful! If they go by too quickly, you can slow the video down to 0.75x speed (or whatever speed you need).
Hi Steven, thanks for the question! I use Elixir 14677 Nanoweb strings (.045-.105 Light/Medium). They're stainless steel, so they last a long time. In addition, they feel super sleek! 😄 I'm not much of a nerd in regards to bass strings, so there are probably a lot out there that might be better than mine (I've heard there are different types of strings - flatwound, roundwound, tapewound, groundwound, etc. there's so many! 😮). Here's the link if you want to check them out! www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/14677--elixir-strings-14677-nanoweb-long-scale-electric-bass-strings-045-105-light-medium Also, here's a bass guitar string buying guide from Sweetwater: www.sweetwater.com/insync/bass-guitar-string-buying-guide/ All the best!
Thank you! I use a Valeton GP-200 for my bass effects. It's more of a guitar pedalboard, but it also works for bass - they give you over 30 amps/cabs (interchangeable), and plenty of other effects. I highly recommend it! It records out through USB-C, but also supports line out and midi. could you not add the notes on a musical score? Or the tabs? (preferable the notes!!) can't do this, goes too fast. Can't pre-see what is coming next.
