Chet Chelios that’s certainly possible, however khabib strikes me as a man who becomes more calculating when angry or upset rather than more headstrong. His fight with Mcgregor is a good example of this (despite the ending). I firmly believe we are going to see the most dangerous version of khabib to date

The question wasn’t if Khabib would use his dad as an excuse, it’s pretty clear that isn’t going to be the case, it was if other people would say that it was a factor in the defeat. If you’re going to answer a question then at least listen to it first
Honestly I think if Khabib was 100% and had his dad (his main cornerman) who he’s had with him his whole career would run through Gaetchje. But I’m a little nervous about it with Abdumulap being gone
Khabib to Justin- "I will take you to the deepest oceans and drown you." I think Khabib is gonna go even harder than he did before in honor of his dad and it's gonna be frightening to watch
If you watch his fight you can clearly see his foot is hurting, the training part his coach confirmed aswell there is no reason to lie. The running thing is kind of Khabib style to avoid strikers early rounds it's just smart. If Conor wanted to win he should have stayed on the outside and make it a boring fight till round 3 so he can't shoot takedowns and finish him afterwarts. But for some reason he didn't use this strat probably his foot was hurting.
He was literally drinking at every press conference to the lead up of khabib. Everyone knows khabib had conor in his feelings and this is coming from a conor fan. Conor just wanted to put hands on him. And even his coaches said conor would spar finish his training partners and leave. It was like no other camp. U khabib nut huggers just joined the sport when he became champ
This is hard, I'm rooting for Gaethje because I think he's awesome & I'd love to see him win this fight and have done for a long time way before it was even in the works but I don't want to see Khabib heartbroken or anything in loss either however he's been in touch with Dana to say he's ready so he obviously is. If Gaethje wins then he deserves the credit 💯, of course we know we'll hear all the excuses but if he wins let's just give him the credit he deserves as Khabib wouldn't say he was ready if he wasn't. Either way after the fight both guys are going to have immense respect, it's a shame crowds aren't there because win or lose Khabib would get a standing ovation, it would be quite emotional. Both fantastic fighters & may the best man win on the night! ♥️🙏🏼
@a b Yep, Gaethje has a whole D-1 wrestling background which stylistically is good for Khabib's game, he's said a few times how you have to meet force with force as opposed to running back (which is where most opponents get caught and quickly wore down) as well as keeping it in the center of the cage, alongside the fact if Gaethje can do that while taking his legs out and stuffing his takedowns we could see a whole different fight here. I might write that book by the way.
@DTrey FloatGoat I think it's a lot more than a punchers chance with Gaethje but I hear you, they're both great guys so whoever wins it's gonna be absolutely fine either way 😊🙏🏼
@DTrey FloatGoat that's what I mean, whether Gaethje wins or not, I have no idea but the chances of it and stylistically it's a good match up and the kind of tools a fighter needs to keep Khabib off of them. If Khabib wins the fight it's fair to say Khabib is the best lightweight in the world right now and if Justin wins then he absolutely should get the credit, for sure!! 🙏🏼😊

I know you're thinking of his dad, but justin is gonna get mawled let a lone hold back lol like f*ck me what a dumb opinion. Khabib literally said yesterday that justin better be ready because he's gonna drag him into deep waters and drown him - yeah, justins gonna take it easy on that guy...literally no one thinks that. Like it's a f*cking title fight and your evidence for justin not holding back is because he beat nick newel? so dumb and pointless.
Therapy Music what do you mean fan because of religion looool I’m just a fan of MMA and khabib is very entertaining. If that’s the type of bigotry you have to stoop to in order to convey your dislike for khabib then you do you bro
Khabib is the type of fighter where if he loses, he won’t make excuses. At this point in his career if anyone beats him they deserve all the praise. If anything the loss of his father will put a chip on his shoulder and he will go out and defend his title for him. If Gaethje wins he will definitely be looked at differently and will jump in popularity immensely. Beating tony and then beating khabib for the belt would be legendary
@Victor Palacios Do you really think US-style D1 experience compares to growing up in a much tougher neighborhood, Dagestan Russia? A country within a country that has only 200,000 18-36yo age men that produce so many top warriors has something special. I have been there, it is not cushy and pampered lives like college athletes in the US. At least Khabib's degrees are real, and earned them academically unlike American college athletes so his intelligence in and out of the octagon is quite a bit higher so makes adjustments on the fly better.
I see the issue with people that don't like khabib and want him to lose don't necessarily do it because of what he does but what he represents. It's hate against the things he stands for and his religion rather than his abilities and fighting style. If you don't agree you do a bit of digging about the people that throw hate on him.
The question asked was not what the fighter would say but what the media would say about this outcome. Of course we ALL KNOW that khabib would not use that as an excuse.
Y'all forgetting about Justin's kicks but he does lead with his head big mistake..but khabib has hands like an old man maybe why Connor was practicing on a senior citizen 😂😂😂
"Too close to the trees to see the forest" So after all these years it's Uncle Chael who rephrases that saying in a way that I can completely understand. Thank you Uncle Chael.
Eric Koch went through the same loss after going 5 rounds with Aldo. I see Khabib channeling and still listening. He knows where dad is and with faith as strong as theirs, it’s not a missed opportunity to communicate, it’s an opportunity to grow stronger in faith.
We don't know yet what the passing away of his father has done to him mentally (speaking inside the octagon) Gonna be really interesting. I wish him all the best and I hope he wins.

I don't even consider it a "his father passed away" kind of thing personally. It really comes down to one thing. Just because you killed Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James. It was the same thing when Weidman beat Silva. It's an Incredible feat and you do Deserve credit, don't get me wrong. But beating somebody with an aura of invincibility doesn't then give you that aura. That isn't earned over one fight or even over a good streak. All just my opinion, which don't mean shit. But that's how I look at it.
Yeah especially with that Weidman situation. My friends will always make the excuse that silva wasn't serious and then he broke his leg blah blah blah. Its silva fault for not fighting to his potential. Not weidmans. I completely agree. He did something no one else could do at that time. Therefore he should be recognized for doing so
He is still a champion even if he lose. His mannerism make him good role model and example. We gotta lose sometimes. A good king will never be forgotten. Everybody would still be root for him.
If he loses to khabib, he'll be absolutely beaten to pulp, and may never be the same again. If he wins, it would be a spectacular ko in the first two rounds
He took damage in all his fights other than Tony. So for him taking damage is nothing new. But if he wins he’ll have dethroned the most dominant fighter especially after a good win against tony in his last fight so that makes two of the best in the division.
You made some very good points. Khabib could of said he wasn't ready to fight and needs more time off leading to the passing of his father. But he still gonna fight. Now that is strong will and soul
@L C to each there own, in my opinion (as humble as it can be) I feel like Conor Khabib part two would be a bit more interesting than part one. But also feel like Justin takes way too many shots to the head to beat Conor unless he was able to catch him first..
McSkillet I disagree, Tony is a phenomenal fighter but he went from training for Khabib to going to the hardest hitting striker, also his two weight cut thing was stupid. I’m not saying Tony would’ve won but it would’ve been closer.

man it's a long time we've wanted gaethje khabib. it's gotta be khabib's biggest test, everyone else did not have a wrestling pedigree that would lead to believe they can deal with khabib, most seem to think gaethje does.
One loss on your off night and people forget what a nightmare he was for 8 fucking years!! El cucuey broke fighters mentally and physically in the ring ! He shouldn't have taken the fight with justin without a full training camp, anyone on the top five is a beast and you need training camps to win against them. Cant see any excuses coming from Khabib if he did lose. In fact the exact opposite might happen and he comes out fired up and ready to destroy. Should make for a great fight. Credit to Gaethje for his performance against Ferguson. Ferguson is a dangerous beast and was systematically and clinically taken apart by Gaethje. Gaethje is a striker but has a breeding in wrestling. Will be good to see how he responds to Khabibs take downs. This fight could be epic.

Like, I always think of Chael and Askren as the best on the mic, but after seeing Chael on the Flo podcast it’s not even close. This is comparing whiskey to water in a let’s get drunk contest. Chael is the GOAT.
The question seemed so negative just the assumption of Khabib making any excuse if he lost ... I just don’t see him being that kind of fighter ... I think these fighters need a little more respect from reporters and fans .... I give more respect to Justin for fighting him now because this could be probably when Khabib is at his most dangerous... most motivated his most prepared and that’s a scary thought .... just my opinion ... all I know it’s gonna be a great fight with Two amazing fighters and I can’t wait 😊💪💪🙏🙏🙏
Honestly think an X Factor is Trevor Whittman being Justin's coach, that's how highly I value a smart coach, and Justin is bringing in Kamaru to train with
Im more worried about him rather than Justin..if that makes any sense.....But then again everyone got a plan until Khabib implements his... #FatherPlan
@Robert Cella idk I think with Kamaru's tendency to push guys against the cage and Khabib liking to get his work done against the cage I think he's a really good training partner, plus with all of Marty's strength and size I think if Gaethje can get off the mat and cage against Marty I think that will greatly help his chances
If Gaethje pulls off the unthinkable, then inevitably it will lead to an immediate rematch. This is akin to when Matt Serra KO'd GSP. Serra got the credit but GSP redeemed himself and corrected the wrong.
Matt Serra was just lucky tho and everybody thought he had no chance because GSP was better at everything but Justin has better striking than Khabib and pretty good wrestling base it's not the same

He said it himself when he was fighting Dustin (or was it al?) because he couldn’t make weight for furgeson, that he was extremely sick and even hospitalized but did not want to mention this publicly unless he won the fight, because if he lost that would become an excuse and he doesn’t want to make excuses.

Yeah especially with that Weidman situation. My friends will always make the excuse that silva wasn't serious and then he broke his leg blah blah blah.

If he loses he will be known as one of the 30 opponents khabib destroyed.
If he wins on the other hand it will be a different story.
Lol lose? Why would beating Tony then losing to The actual Champion make him on of the greatest? It would make him a regular 1# contender lol
@@younishijazi4986 Not many men on the face of the Planet can make it through a single round with Tony, Justin walked through every round and won a decisive victory by having Tony give up and walk away!.... if that is not the definition of Badassery, then nothing is my brother!
@@Smp_lifting Can you name anyone else in the weight class, past or present that could make Tony Ferguson say "No Mas" and walk away? That sir, is the definition of Badassery... only one of the best of the best could accomplish something like that! GSP is considered one of the Greatest of all time, Khabib is one of the Greatest if not THE Greatest of all time leaving Justin the Legacy of having to face them both (Khabib in October and a huge Possibility of Justin facing GSP after Khabibs retirement in April when he fights his final fight with GSP. Yep.... Justin can not come out of this situation without being considered one of the Greatest Light weights of all time!
People may make that excuse for Khabib, but I don't think he's the kind of person to make excuses. Neither is Gaethje.
