      *England must learn to produce world class managers, as well as world class number 6s, number 8s, goalkeepers and centre halves. Then we might finally have a chance.

    We are in dire need of a manager who is bigger than the players.
    Foden in an England shirt does not work. 4 goals in 42.
    Saka and Bellingham are ahead of Palmer.
    You cant play a 1 man midfield.
    These are just facts.
    Slot didnt come into liverpool and play a 4-1-5.

    Yes!
    Spain, Brazil, France...
    They are all comfortable having good players in the bench.
    And more substitutes are allowed than ever,
    most players can be involved.

    Great managers drop big talent.
    Poor managers like Carsley and Southgate try and change formations to suit players

    • @thedizzlor
      @thedizzlor День назад

      Right point wrongly said. They try to force players into a formation whether they fit it or not.

      It's clearly not the manager making the decision. You think even a Sunday league manager would try and play foden as a forward when he's got watkins and solanke to choose from? The FA pick the team based on sponsorships.

    Foden was the problem at the Euros and he continues to be the problem now. He's just not very good, 42 caps and nothing to show for it. Drop him and get a striker in.

    Was bizarre, didn't even play his beloved Gomes.
    Think the reaction has been over the top though.

    Couldn’t give a toss how he talks to the media, why do they think that’s so important?

    • @thedizzlor
      @thedizzlor День назад

      Name a top manager who cant deal with the press. Or a top club without a strong manager.
      You need someone with the power to control the press, defend his players, own the narrative. Carsleys went infront of the press and said he hopes to go back to his U21 job and refused to answer if he wanted the job. Thats incredibly amateur.

    • @Epsilon04
      @Epsilon04 День назад

      Because if they’re poor at handling the media, they’re most likely poor at communicating effectively with the players, the two require a similar skill set

      @@thedizzlor well, best manager ever Fergie was pretty notorious for being blunt/ aggressive with the media and it didn’t seem to hold him back. Probably pissed half the time as well.
      I doubt even 5% of people that watch the game bother to watch the press conference.

    • @CustardCream14
      @CustardCream14 21 час назад

      @@Epsilon04 most managers and players at club level now speak English as a second language, some better than others and I think that’s fine. You don’t need impeccable communication skills to put across your ideas to people. The ideas themselves are the important bit.
      Southgate was a media darling because he gave nice pc answers to things but he was a tactical Pygmy.

  • @BohemianRaichu

    Could be a sliding doors moment.
    If UEFA had decided to postpone the game,
    would Carsley still be in pole position to get the job?

    Foden and Palmer were awful in the 8s. Really think Jones as a facilitator will add so much balance to the midfield with Rice and Bellingham.

    • @edenholt4394

      Foden was not really playing as an 8, he was the furthest player forward for England most the game, more like a false 9.
