Football Lighting Design Calculation (Part 1)

This is the first part of the video series for Football Lighting Design Calculations. The software used here is the regular Dialux. This video show you the step by step guide in how to do the sports lighting design calculation for football field.

Hi Nelca, I learnt to do DIALUX for football field from your vedio. When I did one DIALUX for one client, I found when I see the plan view for PA, the Min is 544lx and the Min/avg is 0.7, but when I saw the report, the Min is 304lx and U0 is 0.4. Have you ever met such problem? It is a pity I cannot show you the picture.

Is it also possible to calculate sports facilities in Dialux EVO? I can't find computing surfaces for sports facilities. There are ready-made surfaces in Dialux 4.13.

I didn't even know the ABC of the dialux. This tutorial helped me alot. Thank you very much. But I face a problem, when ever i tick the display values for grid calculation, the values don't appear on the display. Those values which contains lux and uniformity etc. If you can help please.

Dear Nelca, I am not sure why not use Calculation Surface to estimate the lux in football field. Can I use Calculation Grip to estimate the lux in footbridge (Outdoor) as same as Football field does? Many thanks to your explanation.

Thanks Nelca. Very useful.... One question. f I have in my laptop dialux EVO, I can work in Dialux 4.12 in the same laptop? This question is because I had tried, but i cannot install this version without uninstall Dialux Evo, and usually I work with Evo, but sometimes I want to be able to work with 4.12.... help....

U can install both. No probs. U can even work on Dialux evo and Dialux 4.13 at the same time. Remove firewall for the meantime before I stalling the software to avoid error.

Hello.!Miss Nelca, I´d like to thank you for your football lighting design calculation. It was most usefull for me.!I achieved a 0.52 uniformity and 200 lux average. It took me a bit but finaly equalized with my handwritten calculations.I have a question anyhow.Is it possible to use a generic lumeniere.? Clarification: In the U.S., football (international) is referred to as 'soccer' and American football or simply referred to as 'football' is completely different from rugby. Rugby is uncommon in the U.S. and many Americans do not understand the rules.
