Enjoy the trip in Thailand!!! 🇹🇭 I’m Thai . Let me tell you the chicken from there were not really fresh but they were defrosted so they will go bad quick. I recommend Top’s super market it was a bit pricey but it has much better quality. :) . The local market is cheaper but it will be a little bit harder for foreigners to communicate with the local but you will see the local food, fruits etc.
When did Olivia grow up 😩😩😩 it was at the start when you asked her what she wanted and it was such a sassy old school reply of ‘I’ll wait and see’. Loving these videos guys, happy to be following you on this journey, I hope it’s still everything you dreamed of. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
By the way Lotus use to be Tesco Lotus, everything in Thailand if local produce is paying cheaper tax and import groceries is come with a extra cost of imported tax that is not included VAT.
Let me remind you checking up discount value bar code (80-150 bahts= 2-4 £ for next time saving shopping ) at the lower (the lowest) part of buying items....Tesco Lotus Thailand
2:56 I think it is called “Longan”, not Lychee. I love them and I usually eat them all at once 😋 BTW, most of the Lotus or Big C they will carry imported goods sections (fruits, dry foods, etc) and most of them are expensive. You will find a better imported selections in Villa Markets or Tops.
Frozen products in Thai supermarket sucks, 7-11 has the best. Cooking oil in Thailand is mainly Palm Oil, which is a lot cheaper than Olive oil. Thai cuisine usually cooks with high heat, which is not good using Olive Oil. Best all round Cooking Oil here is Rice Bran Oil. It cost a bit more but you don't really use it that much. Basically cooking ingredient for Western cuisine will be imported. So it would be a lot cheaper if you switch to Thai cooking. And once you experienced using a lot of ingredients and herbs, you can never go back.
Cost you a lot less than here in the UK its way more expensive here now, in fact my advice would be not to come back , great video guys cant wait for the next one .. A fan in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Hi, please how easy is it to find a condo in Thailand and to learn Thai please? I was adopted from Bangkok by Swedish parents and I grew up in Sweden, but I don't speak Thai. I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old. Interesting video. Trying to learn Thai but it's daunting.
We've watched your vdo in England about Thai Fest,2 yrs ago may be. for more information about Thailand you can ask from any Thai citizens / Expats..They'll help you almost everything. Be Happy & Enjoy living in the land of smiles.
All types of Thai products There must be international standards. Do not contain contaminants. If there is no standard Can't sell it, it's against the law and you'll get arrested.
You think you pay western produce is expensive how about if I told you that I pay for thai mango in Australia is costing me $25 AUD per kilo, Durian is costing me $65 bucks per kg that is 1560 bath per kg and I still have to pay for it if I want to eating it just to make it. feeling like home
Check the cheese. and the can is only 300ml. not 500 ml or a pint. And what muscles you have? seen bigger muscles on thai woman who is farmer. Get a grip.
The truth is that the cost of food shopping in Thailand in Lotus is now more expensive than shopping in Tesco in the UK. You can even get better deals in the UK at BM / LIDL / ALDI etc. I've been here three years and can actually eat for far cheaper in the UK now than Thailand. Its shocking when you add up the cost over the month.
If you buy import stuffs it is quite expensive than UK.Strawberry is cost the same ,if you buy it in winter in UK.I haven’t been back home since the pandemic, I think everything has gone up.
I'm a Malaysian, Thailand is our good neighbour, she is a nice and beautiful place to visit. Enjoy your trip:)

Local products are much cheaper than the west but imported ones are the opposite.
Most imported items usually are more expensive than the local ones. But I'm sure you can find anything you need here. Have fun cooking!

switch from tomato can to fresh local tomato instead, it super cheap
Great video comparing the costs grocery store to grocery store at home.
Thank you for supporting Thai products!!🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Cost of living in THAILAND is so awesome 👍 which it quite cheaper than UK 300% roughly. Brilliant 👍 family 🎉

2:57 It is not lychee, it is longan.
FYI in Malaysia, LOTUS'S bought over all TESCO's stores.
Similar in Thailand

You're right something is a bit quite expensive not only for you guys but for us too. As a Thai I could say this is agree. XD
did you find any boil in the bag meals? Heinz baked beans? Sarsons malt vinegar and Branston pickle?
Seven quid for the Australian Chardonnay ( Hardy’s brand) not too bad. That’s good quality Chardonnay. Great with cheese platter.
Yeh £7 isn’t a bad price at all! Just trying to save the pennies on our travel budget 😅
Surprisingly, Lotus used to be cheaper than this😅 before CP company boght the chain.

Thank you 😊 Yeh the cost of living has got out of hand in the Uk! Not good!
South of Thailand is usually more expensive than the mainland or the north.
We use palm oil. Olive oil is very expensive as they are imported.
Thailand welcomes everyone.🤗🌴🌴🌴❤️
Use rice bran oil. It’s healthier than palm oil and soy oil.
Very informative and homey-vibe. Cheers to you guys!

I live in England now, and £1.02 is about what the milk cost here in the UK now, thanks to Brexit
Also did you buy beer in KL? I might order some frm Grab/Jaya Grocer, I fig it’s the cheapest + easiest way…

How do you guys find driving in thailand? Is it hard to get used to?
Chicken nuggets and pizza is healthy?
Good clear, concise info, the girls are great
Great video! Curious does the wine seem cheaper in Thailand compared to KL where so many are Muslim?
Wine in malaysia has taxes. So are more expensive. 80 ringgit until above 100 ringgit 1 bottle because usd is very high compared to ringgit.
welcome to thailand brother
That is what I thought in the opposite way when I lived in the UK. Coke is so expensive!! haha;
Chicken in the UK is now between £3-4 😢
Where is the shop located?
no prepared frozen meals
Now if we can just figure out the difference between Cheng and Cheng Cold Brew lol
😂
Best advice keep away from Thai supermarkets expensive
You said milk in Thailand is more expensive than your country; if you come to Cambodia you will be shocked as 2L of milk costs 4.20 usd
